So I never tried Savage Melee, of some reason I always stayed away from it - BUT recently I noticed that it gives a native recharge time bonus, which means it would go very well with a secondary set that has a lot of cooldowns.

So far I'm down to either Regen (as there are a lot of heals that require quite the cooldown time (Dull pain, instant healing, revive, moment of glory, reconstruction) all of which would benefit greatly from this natural bonus, rather than something like super reflexes which wouldn't care much about cooldowns.

My other alternative is Ninjutsu, another powerset I never really used, but it has caltropes, heal, smoke, blind, which also would benefit greatly from the recharge bonus - BUT which fits better into the savage melee set?

Any thoughts?

I really like energy aura on stalkers.  Energize and energy drain are 2 very useful powers in the set, and both can benefit from the recharge reduction from savage melee.

I ran a Sav/SR that absolutely smoked cheddar because between Frenzy stacks, Quickness, and Hasten I was able to heavily proc out AS, Hemo, and Leap without worrying about loss of recharge and to a lesser extent end redux. Plus softcaps to Def with a lot (tho not maxed) DDR.

I get where your head is at but Sav/SR is going to unzip exp bags way better than something like Sav/Regen.

sounds pretty amazing too 🙂 Guess Elec could do the same trick (however, not as much resistance as you can get defense in SR)
