Copy Character to Test/Beta Server

I keep hearing about copying characters over to test/beta servers.  I can't find any instructions on how to do it.  Can someone point me in the right direction?  Thanks in advance.

uptop click  account > cilck beta account >copy over char you want, tho you can create a new one and insta 50 it too

THanks.  I don't see that.  I think maybe cause I'm on a mac.  Heres a screen capture of what I see.

 

First I can choose Home Coming or Beta

 

Second I can choose from the servers Excelsior, Reunion, Indomidable, Torchbearer or Everlasting (I'm on excelsior)

 

Third I go to character select.

 

If I choose Beta I can select from Transfer Test or Beta.

 

I can't find any options to transfer other than the one to transfer live characters between servers.

Looks like the character list isn't updating like it's supposed to.

Basically. Cipher explained it as 2 different databases, the copy is taken from the live server but the forum is using a read-only database which might not be updated

We've identified an issue causing the copy tool to read old data from the servers when building your character list. We're planning to fix the underlying issue with the next maintenance on Tuesday, and until then you will be unable to copy new characters to the test servers. Apologies for the inconvenience here, and thank you for your patience.
