Propel required?

I'm noticing propel does a fair bit of KB aside when set up properly.

Which isn't a problem.

lift seems to do better DPA though. 

if I slot lift and crush well.........maybe

I won't need propel.......perhaps

how essential is propel? 

It's a neat unique power (no doubt) but it has a long cast time for middling dmg and its persnickety KB mechanic.

It does. I can't recall the exact numbers, but add in Epic attacks, and I don't see a reason to use Propel outside of the fact that it looks cool.

With Impact, Propel does more DPS than Lift. Without it it's about the same. But with Propel you get the benefit of a small AoE knockdown. Do you have to take it? No. Should you? Absolutely. I would skip Crush before I skip Propel.

Lift has better DPA (even with Impact), but Propel is fun and has better DPA than Crush (which doesn't benefit from Impact). Slot kb>kd in Propel.
