Daihok Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Was wondering is there any difference /potency of the many different stealth types? Also the enhancement that adds stealth to travel power is it as good as say stealth from concealment powerpool -the defense from actual stealth of course?
Papaschtroumpf Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Stealth is counters "perception", manyy powers that grant stealth (-perception) also grant some other benefits like defense or resist (storm's must, warshade shadow cloak, deal cloak, whatever it's called...) But as far as I know they all grant the same amount of -perception. Superspeed grant -perception but no defense/resist. Two stacks of -perception will make you invisible to most does in the game (some of them like ritki drones do ha e extra perception and require 3 stacks for you to be invisible). You get those stacks with a y if the means above, including IO. So superspeed+stealth from the power pool makes you invisible. So does most+superspeed or most+stealth. Or most+stealth IO of superspeed +stealth IO. There are ma y ways to get invisibility and anyone can work a way in their build if they desire. Then you're going to want a TP friend/team power so you can bring your team to the spot your reached by steal thing :) temp powers are available for that too.
coffeethrall Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Paragon Wiki's Stealth and Perception page has a nice breakdown of how the mechanics of stealth and perception play out, including the different perception ranges of various enemy types and the varying effectiveness of stealth by source. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Stealth_and_Perception
Daihok Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Ah sweet yea i like the breakdown of it all. Definately good info.
Papaschtroumpf Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Great article and it turns out some of my simplified info was incorrect (I didn't know you couldn't stack two stealth toggles. Never tried I guess)
ed_anger Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 be aware that some mobs can see through large amounts of stealth, carnies seem to be able to see you as if you don’t have stealth at all, for example.
