Obduran Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 This is awesome. Thank you to whoever has/is providing server capacity. Wow, 4 all maxed with a think 2000 max connected clients at a time. So that's 8000 players and by my math ~2800 in queue. It's...immensely gratifying to see the community blow up this way. Some whining has occurred (but when does it not ;) Thank you all again. Welcome home indeed.
Stray Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 At one point, it was mentioned that the server cap was 4k, not 2k. Not sure if that changed after adding the two new servers.
Libertyguard Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 you expected it to be less? ncsoft took down a game loved by thousands of players in its prime and stranded people with no place to call thier gaming home. They then stuck a cruddy game on the servers CoH was located on :( Now its back(not sure if for good) ...heh all those folks are in mass exodus over to here and they dont have a way to earn money to buy new servers to put the game on. I myself am wondering on how they are gonna solve this dilemma.
JodianGaming Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Unfortunately, when I was able to get in, I saw a lot of folks with "afk" over their heads. Would be nice if people didn't login just to stand around and block others from playing. When there is like 15 servers and all at moderate capacity then go ahead. For now though... I mean, can't we all share?

There is a hypothesis floating around that some internet trolls have gotten wind of the issues and are intentionally filling up the server quotas just to mess with everyone. That may be what you're seeing, but all of that is hearsay afaik.
StrykerGaming Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 NCsoft's decision to shutdown the game was one of many monumental mistakes they've made. The desire and love to play this game is ingrained in everyone that played this awesome game. For me, playing COH, is one that relieves all stress and allows me to forget the real world. No stress induced raids like you have in other games. This is about playing a game that allows you to enjoy any and everything about it. If we were allowed to donate I'd be at the head of the line or fighting for it. Thank you to those responsible for allowing us to play CoH/CoV again!

This game was replaced with one that only has about 200 active players at a time while this private server has 10,000 people trying to play at once, the fk is wrong with NCsoft.
