Catch the Council Spy (Radio Contact in Port Oakes)

I got the mission, cleared the Council base and found the spy's identity. After leaving, I had a timed mission to catch the spy in an Arachnos base. Upon entering the mission, I defeated one spawn of three Arachnos minions, after which I got dumped out of the mission with a "mission failed" message. I had already done this mission successfully yesterday so I am completely confused as to what happened. I doubt I was in the mission for a full minute.

 

Was playing an Arachnos Widow.

According to the wiki, the mission is known to be bugged.

 

"Bug! As soon as the team gets within range for The Council Spy to spawn, he will attempt to escape immediately, rather than wait for his health to drop to half or his minions defeated first."
