Sending Macros Does Nothing

Hi there!

I'm a macro / bind creator. Yesterday my dad asked me to make a couple macros for him, so I did! I tried to then share this macro with him in game by right-clicking my macro, give to, dad character

Example for science: 


Unfortunately the macro did not arrive to him, even though we were standing right next to eachother (was concerned distance might have been an issue, so stood very close together).

 

Is this a known issue? We cannot send macros to eachother anymore? This makes me very sad if so as it's much easier to make a macro and send it, rather than trying to explain how to make the macro.

I can second this has never worked for me either. I figured it was either something that got patched out but the UI element remained, or something like that. As a woman who uses a LOT of macros, this would be cool.

I wonder if it can't because it could be abused using this trick?

 

Basically, you could create a macro that sends influence to your global, then give that macro to random people and tell them that if they click it they will get a temporary buff.
