Using a macro enabled keyboard to set up toggles?

Am I right in thinking I could set up on defense toggles on their own tray and use a single keyboard bind with pauses to set up a bunch of toggle powers?

 

Like press the up arrow=

1 (toggle A)

pause 2 sec

2 (toggle B)

pause 2 sec

3 (toggle C)

 

and so forth?

I'm not familiar with the specifics of the Razer Ornata, but I've done some similar stuff with a Logitech G510s.  I find that I need a minimum 0.5 sec delay between commands in order to avoid problems with overlap on the execution.

So, were I going to do this, I would set up binds for each toggle independently, and then set my macro to fire off those binds.

 

So I would basically say bind ctrl+shift+z to powexectoggleon Fire Shield, ctrl+shift+x to powexectoggleon Blazing Aura, and so forth.

Then set my keyboard macro so hit ctrl+shift+z, wait 1 second, ctrl+shift+x, wait one second, and so forth.

 

One of the reasons for this is if you have a partial toggle drop, you can hit the macro and it will attempt to toggle on each power, whereas if you just used a command based off it's place in a power tray, it would activate any there weren't on, and deactivate any that were.

 

Though honestly, my experience using a multi-power macro with a similar keyboard was that it wasn't worth the hassle due to it interrupting other commands you do. I preferred just a series of macro taps to activate each power.

You can even get fancier than your example. Because you can stack 'powexec_toggleon' commands in a single bind, with the limitation that only one power activates with each keypress, you could put all of your toggles in a single  bind:

 

/bind alt+I "powexec_toggleon DefenseA$$powexec_toggleon DefenseB$$powexec_toggleon DefenseC$$powexec_toggleon DefenseD"

 

And then set up your keyboard macro to emit "alt-I" four times with a half-second delay between them, giving you a one-key 'toggle everything on' function. You can't stack attacks like this though, but you can stack as many "powexec_toggleoff" commands as you like, and they all take effect with a single keypress, so you can set up another key to turn all your toggles off if you wanted to.
