Lusiphur Malache
This ain't another horror story about a task force gone wrong, sorry (not sorry). My stone/electric tank just dinged 42 when someone asked if any one wanted in on an ITF. I had just bought 2 attuned sets, so I was low on funds. Star was level 49 at start. There were 50s in the team, but no change was made. 4 deaths for the entire run. No we didn't do the towers. At the end I'm looking at my xp bar. I didn't use any xp boosters. No green arrow. I couldn't understand how I did a successful ITF and didn't get one level. I was livid for a moment, then I thought about inf. Only earned 2 million influence and no level up. I'm beside myself
PoptartsNinja
CoH's XP curve isn't really a curve. It's exponential from level 1 to 40, but after that it goes on sort-of a forced reverse. IIRC it takes more time and effort to go from level 39 to 40 than any other level in the game (it might be 40 to 41), and still takes lot of effort to go from 40 to 44 or so, but beyond level 44 you're over 'the hump' and the last few levels are a victory lap. Or, to put it another way: It takes as much effort to go from level 1 to 35 (35 levels) as it takes to go from 35 to 42 (7 levels) as it takes to go from 43 to 50 (8 levels). I know this for a fact because back when AEs were bugged and giving 4x XP, I had a map that would take a character from 1-35, 35-42, and 42-50 with roughly two spawns to spare after hitting 50.

Lusiphur Malache
Before this one, I've never failed to get at least 3 levels and 4 million influence before. Hell, I took a level 42 on 4xp and dinged 50 easily. Not getting a level, I thought that wasn't possible

Not getting a level, I thought that wasn't possible Always always ALWAYS make sure before joining an ITF that it’s a Kill Most(KM) +4x8 with a 50 in charge. Thats where the levels come in. Later when your 50 4* KM ITF gets a nice chunk of Inf, but most would rather speed those. 1 Aspiring show writer through AE arcs and then eventually a script 😛 AE Arcs: Odd Stories-Arc ID: 57289| An anthology series focusing on some of your crazier stories that you'd save for either a drunken night at Pocket D or a mindwipe from your personal psychic.|The Pariahs: Magus Gray-Arc ID: 58682| Magus Gray enlists your help in getting to the bottom of who was behind the murder of the Winter Court.|
