Techwright
I've notice in Talos Island that when the Kronos Titans spawn, and even the occasional Babbage, no matter where they start they seem to always move towards the train station, as if drawn to a homing beacon, even if it takes them some time, and of course, unless interrupted by players attacking them. 1) Is this an accurate observation? 2) If indeed accurate, would it be true for any zone where there is a train station? 3) If indeed accurate, if spawned in a zone without a train station, what, if anything would they home in on? Ukase
So...just going out on a limb here, figuratively: Kronos, when triggered by the completion of a specific mission in a story arc, spawns near the character that held the mission. Same with Babbage. Generally, players when finishing missions are en route to their next mission - which could suggest the reason for this behavior. But the Kronos that spawn repeatedly in Talos...I dunno about these GMs. Frankly, when I am playing on Indom - this doesn't happen. Or if it does, the population is so small, nobody knows it's happening, and Kronos just gets droned. I expect that the GM in question spawns - and just remains where they are and when they are moving, it's in response to aggro from a player. Just speculation on my part, but I really can't say with any degree of certainty.
Hedgefund
If you want Kronos or Babbage to spawn elsewhere than their normal spots in FF or Skyway, respectively, then you have to use LRT, base transport then base portal or Ouroboros to get to Talos. All 3 put you at approximately the same place - the SG portal for the first two, on the hill just a few yards away from the SG portal if coming from Ouro. So, that's it, the mission owner has to go to the same area near the train station and the ambush triggers on that player there. They're not homing in on the station, but the player. I don't know if this is breaking "Fight Club" protocols, but I've spawned Kronos in Talos a time or two and he zeroes in on me, not the train station.
