Plant / savage dom. New player. Power pool advice.

Hello everyone.

I've got a plant / savage dom. I'm just level 10. I'm a baby noob.

I played in the ncsoft days and have just come back. The power pools are all different and I'm pretty lost.

What power pools should I take a good look at for dominators?

I fully agree with @Frosticus here.

Dominators are significantly better when you have perma domination (which is being able to get domination recharged before it expires).

I'll add that for epic pool whether Ancillary or Patron, I strongly recommend Ice Mastery be considered as each power in the set is useful for a dominator.

I can agree that most players would say to get the the speed pool for hasten for a dominator.

I don't know if I have ever used the speed pool with a dominator.

I'm a character conception player, so I say pick power pools and powers that fit your character conception ... unless you want to go the mini-maxing route and really don't care about character conception.

You can make 1000 characters per server, so my suggestion would be to explore making characters based on character conception and don't worry about mini-maxing, but that's up to you.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
