venetiasilver
What holds Broad Sword back from being as good as its other weapon brethren?
Octogoat
IDK I always found it as good as a one handed katana.
JJDrakken
Broadsword is a very good. It hit's hard and has a good recharge for it's powers. Katana is is about same damage as BS. It may seem to do lower, but has faster speeds. Titan Weapons is more AoE Focused and requires constant wind up for Momentum to hit bigger things. Mace & Axe are basically same. Though Axe had PBAOE change last year. Claws is claws, basically Katana. Staff requires run of 3 toggles for effects. It's more flashy then most. But at end of day it's all Lethal or Smashing damage. Those two damage types are the most resisted in the game by mobs. Edited October 27 by JJDrakken

Crysis
It's one of the original powersets and as such (to best of my knowledge) it hasn't seen a lot of tweaking. Animations are slow but hey, its a big chunk of metal. I've played a few since Homecoming released and it still holds its own, although many other sets like Dual Blades appear to be "doing more" the DPS doesn't really seem to need any help. The only thing likely holding it back is the nature of it's damage being one of, if not THE, most resisted damage type in the entire game (Lethal). But it shares that with Katana so....no more handicapped than the more slender bladed peers. Dunno really...I never felt held back when using it. The knockup/down and -DEF secondary effects are very nice. I've solo'd AV's with it, even those resistant to Lethal, and just give thanks to the Well for my secondary proc effects of Reactive for giving me some additional damage types, as well as my epic attacks. I just mostly wonder to the mildly controversial Ston tests, why its so slow compared to mostly everything else except (Broken Kinetic Melee)
