Character screen: Supergroup name

For those of us with many characters distributed over two or more super groups, might the character selection screen be tweaked to show what super group the character is currently in?  Place it, say, when the character's name is moused over.  Currently, it does similar to show where the character is logged out.    I've personally had times trying to remember which character to log into to access some specific super group, and it would greatly speed things up to see the SG name before login.

Yes please! I'm currently in the process of slowly moving all my toons to a new SG and I'm seeing first hand how valuable this feature would be!

Going to give the same general response I give to a lot of this.

 

*Please overhaul the entire character select screen with more information and utility.*

 

SG name, level range sorting, better sorting in general, better searching, possibly a popout window (say, a little "i" in the corner) that gives more details that may not generally be wanted on the main character select screen (I tend to put things like INF amount here when I think about it - also sortable,) etc.

 

It'd be a good bit of work I'm sure, but it's long past due for an overhaul.

A listing of the INF per character would also be fantastic.  I've lost count of the number of times over the years that I've had to log into most of my characters looking for spare change to fund other characters's purchases.  It would notably reduce the amount of time, if a total INF for the character could simply be seen on mouse-over on the character login screen.

I'd be all in favor of more sorting options and info on the character select screen.

Right now we have name, level, AT, primary power set, and how many days offline.

Maybe when you select the character they could add SG, influence, and which zone they are in by the character image somewhere or in a pop-up window upon mouseover.

And, of course, being able to select the order that the characters appear in would be nice as well, so if you have a lot of toons and want to move the one that you are spending the most time with to the top you could do so, or arrange them alphabetically so that as you make more toons you can slot them into position or whatever.

At minimum a few presorts.  Let me pick to organize alphabetically, by "first appearance" order, by level, alphabetical or by level within an alphabetical SG order (So alphabetically Alphaman in the Alpha Squad SG would be first, followed by Beta Boy, also in Alpha Squad, then Gamma Guy who is a member of Club Chaos, then Delta Dude from the SG Family Ties would be listed etc), maybe "last played,, and so on.  Even better if you could reverse the order for all of that as well.  Just a little "reverse order" button for whatever order you chose so you could easily go back and forth.

Just to be clear, the zone they are in already appears with their two powersets and archetype down by their model's feet when the character is selected.  You possibly meant that, but the wording felt like it was suggesting it would have been a new setup with the SG and influence which currently do not appear.

 

I do agree that a simple character sort would also be appreciated.  The idea of sorting by super group is interesting.

To be clear, I was only looking at the side list.  I was not paying a bit of attention to the bottom of the screen.  It's one of those "been away too long" things where I probably should have remembered that but didn't.

Maybe they can't really change the way the layout is, but if they could have a window pop-up when I mouseover the character name in the list that shows more information that players might want then that would still be good.
Even without any better sorting options.

And/Or add a 'Zone' checkbox to the search at the bottom so you can answer the question 'Who do I have parked in [zone]?' quickly, instead of having to search through a couple hundred alts.
