Zombies at "Murder Motel."

In Peregrine Island, there's a certain infamous hotel that is a cesspool of supernatural evil during the month of October.  So infamous is this hotel that it has been called the "Murder Motel."

 

But zombies don't spawn there during the "Zombie Apocalypse" zone event.  I don't want to suggest that the devs say "That's an *incredible* idea!  We'll implement it, yesterday!"  But I just thought I'd throw the idea out and see how people responded.

 

What do you guys think of zombies spawning in the parking lot during the Zombie Apocalypse?

They do spawn there.   Just not in the numbers that they do if people aren't spawning ToT door spawns.  If you had a league not knock on doors at the motel, I think we'd wind up with more zombies.

@lemming beat me to it. Zombies do spawn there, but there are a few considerations. Like the awnings block spawns for players fighting mobs at the main entrance of the motel. And how spread out or thin the league may be at the time of the event. I've been on leagues there were several players just ran off to Portal Corps while staying on the league for the zombie spawning that happens over there, and that reduces the number of zombies that will spawn at the motel where the league members still doing ToTing may be.

I came in expecting this to be a suggestion that zombies should spawn there normally outside of halloween, as a nod to how monster infested the place apparently is during the event. I'm kind of sad it wasn't that.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you're saying.  Are you saying that if the league stopped knocking on doors but remained in the motel parking lot, the zombies would spawn?  Which, conversely means that if the league knocks on doors the zombies don't spawn as much/at all?

It's probably a little more complex, but when the apocalypse is going on, it spawns in Zombies based on how many people are there.  When you knock on a door and get a trick, it spawns ToT based on how many people are there.  And they seem to compete.
