ILIWAPCT Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Before the license (January) I used Tequila and enabled the Steam Controller through Steam. Everything worked great. Funny enough, my last post (January) voiced concern about compatibility with the new launcher. Fast forward to today (November) . You can't use Tequila so I finally installed the Official loader. Launched and of course the Steam Controller doesn't work ( I can only move left and right) So I tried an xbox controller and got no response. Looked up controllers in the menu and it showed none. Any tips before I uninstall?
UltraAlt Posted November 1 Posted November 1 (edited) @ILIWAPCT First off, if you can set the Steam controller so that it acts like a keyboard do that. It will bypass the game looking at it like a controller and makes it easier to program. (Warning: your computer may exhibit weird behavior on start up if it automatically detects the controller, so try to set it so that it doesn't recognize the controller - at all preferably - or as a keyboard until you have logged in and are ready to use the computer.) If the Steam controller has a profiler go into that and setup a profile for City of Heroes and fill in the key presses and commands. If you can't get the Steam Controller to behave a like a keyboard, then you may be out of luck. Someone else was posting about the Xbox controller, but I didn't follow up to see how that turned out. I've been using a Logitech F310 to play CoH since before the sunset. My controller changes were very minor as I had figured out some more things with the controller through playing DCUO that have proved useful while playing CoH. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
