Coming back to the game after a bit of a break, and I would like to try a Storm Sentinel build. Though I'm not sure which I would like more between SR and Regen. Is anyone able to provide builds for one or both of these? Also, preferably as a forum post, I do not have mids installed and it is just easier for me to look at stuff here anyway. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Both would be very viable picks. /SR would probably a bit of an easier daily driver, and give you more room to proc out your attacks.

I rather like Storm/Rad myself. /Rad covers a lot of the same territory as /Regen, but with better resists. Ground Zero also helps make up for Storm's mediocre aoe.

One thing with storm to keep in mind is that you are incentivized to keep on blasting with storm blasts specifically. Every pool or epic attack you use is one that won't have a chance to proc the secondary lightning attacks inherent to the set.

It could probably use a once-over for modernization, but I'll share my build below. The primary slotting at least could be a good reference if you translate it to another combo.

What about Storm with Electric Armour?

Posted (edited)

Storm is a set that wants your constant attention to maintain Storm Cell and power up Category 5. Thus, a more "passive" feeling armor like SR would make more sense here (Regen isn't as active on Sents as other ATs but still more active than SR).

Electric Armor is another mostly passive choice that would work with it, and its good endurance management comes in handy since Storm can be a bit thirsty at times. Not to mention it also fits a similar theme too with the lightning/electric stuff.

I've had a lot of fun with Storm/SR, personally.  Solo I generally stand in the middle Storm Cell / Cat 5 to encourage mobs to stick around, though Chain Fences helps with that once it's available.

I prefer Res based sets on ATs with higher Res caps, see Brutes and Tankers.

I did a Storm/Dark Sentinel named Little Black Cloud, purely for the cosmetics.  The attached build needs work, but I can float into most combats and stuff melts.  Not necessarily very quickly, but fast enough.   And the debuffs, etc tend to help any team.  Not the most exciting character, but they are relaxing.  (btw, the electricity is just a path aura.  I did have the Electric Epic at one point, but it didn't add much)
