Elfshadow Posted December 13 Posted December 13 I just logged into this forum to ask a question, but when I did, I saw a banner saying that I haven't created a game account yet. That's not true. I tried looking at the forum post about creating a game account to see if there were any clues to how to link my forum and game accounts, but I didn't see anything related to that. If it helps, I can see that my forum username and my game username are different. I don't remember whether they have the same email address on file or not, but they probably do. I am open to having my game account username changed or changing my registered email address for either account. Please let me know if there is any other information needed to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Thanks in advance!
WanderingAries Posted December 13 Posted December 13 Looks like you signed in with a New account for the forum itself. I'd check your email address related to that because this is likely the issue. Check your actual email accounts for the registration email if you've still got it. Elfshadow Posted December 13 Author Posted December 13 I found that this account was using an old email address that I no longer have, and when I tried to update that, it said that email address already had a forum account. So I reset its password and logged into it. It, too, said I had no game account...but when I went to look at the game account info in my settings, it already had the username for that account filled in. So I went to the "do your setup" link in the banner and clicked Next to dismiss the notification. That account appears to be in order now, so I've updated my password manager to make sure I use it. I'll see whether I can close this account so that there isn't a duplicate sitting around. Thanks again!
