hey, just a few ideas / thoughts that keep coming up as I play when I play.

Adjusting radios and newspaper missions to be available in any zone one has the appropriate level for and below. Like a level 50 doing a radio in Kings Row for the maps that spawn there and / or a Lost mission or some other enemy group other than malta, arachnos, or carnival in PI when desired. Would probably also lead to a more diverse pickup team scene, promote more exploration, and allow for more enemy content and lore to be fleshed out from the ground up whenever wherever which could then spin into whole arcs or trials or raids or new contacts or "whatevers" like a new boss type character for the x enemy group or Hellions at level 35 and being a formidable enemy. Or even an auto exemplar-ing when using the radio in a lower zone just to break up some of the monotony.

I'm really hoping the tf/sf/raid/trial que gets "fixed" pickup groups are nice, especially with those types of things and this would help a ton. Helps get away from the "my / our way or the highway" type groups too. Most have been good but some are bleh no thanks and really try to run "the show" and then some... Might have to implement a penalty system of sorts for early leavers, but that's a whole other can of worms... I've heard its a "tough fix" but that's what y'all are here for right? maybe running the que cross shard and having a place to port characters to like some sort of neutral zone in order to have more "queing potential" idk... or like a que system like for the arena where one could start a que for a thing and people can see a rolling list of whats available and when with start times etc... I'll start putting times on the forum otherwise when i run more content / groups / leagues if grouping becomes an issue. but in-game would be great.

A way to get a streamlined process for community generated character content.  like some sort of layout / parameter / guideline for a community member to make a new jacket option or a new katana that can be looked over and approved. or like imported logos from a specific file type and size to be used on a characters chest emblem or something. seems cool, problems possible as always.

I forsee hoarding / bullying out of Giant Monsters, merits, or other community / timed / zone specific/ league necessary content becoming an issue if it already isn't one. I've already run into  "THESE ARE OUR GMS." or "wait on that gm we're doing it in 7 hrs..." or "we set that up last night so dibs" or "WE do ITrials..." or "good luck doing it yourself. do it our way and you can do anything we do, otherwise go home" type stuff. like a schedule / plan is cool and like an hour window seems reasonable in SOME cases and if somethings naturally forming like give it time but like I'll just dibs the next one, maybe ill get to it within the next month or so if we're gonna play that game... it's great when ones schedule aligns and one can stay out of the way enough to not anger the power trippers sitting on top hoarding merits or whatever making people farm for them daily and horrible when it doesn't. All just to deal with someone(s) who can't have you take "their" gm when they aren't even around / doing something else or for "improvising" successfully or starting something "maybe don't run your citadel because we're doing a mothership raid" because they always do them this way or this time or whatever... idk one shouldn't be shamed for doing a GM / leading content / figuring something out when they are ready to do so just because somebody else sits on it and dibs it. tough to deal with. If the game grows this would be an issue with abyss / hive raids too maybe even labyrinth since they aren't instanced that i know of but idk... not super pressing rn just more of an annoyance to watch a lot of people get bullied out of something they have every right to be doing whenever they want to / their schedule allows for and having to be stuck dealing with / being driven by / waiting on some of the people running some of the things just to experience some of the games content. Like i said many have been good and groups are great and most seem to want everyone welcome and able and heard but a few are bleh, no thanks and really do try to force a schedule / "way" and bully you out otherwise... some even try to trap you in!! mini TLDR a lot of bullying and cultish behavior going on here in the guise of "the greater good" / "we know better" / "we were here first" / "the wiki says" / "my numbers are better" / love bombing / x, y, z. makes me think of hot fuzz every time I run into something like that... lot of tough interpersonal dealings, opinions, hive minds, subjectivities, relativities, life, etc... maybe i'll have to make a character named GM Snatcher or something and make it like a slender man lurking in croatoa...

A window for all IO's and their set bonuses I can access in my base while im planning characters / just jumping around or access to the auction house in my base would be nice. Perhaps also an in game integration of a Mids-esque builder / character planner into the character creator / a place like the "quiet rooms" in AE for character building / IO slotting. I get mids works / people love it and i devoured it as a kid 15-ish years ago but doing it "in-game" just has a better feel imo. Or even porting mids right into the game if possible. i've used a combo of the wiki, mids, the AH, and previous knowledge thus far.

Saving my base design / layout. for when i create a new sg or whatever and just want to get a functional one going. like with wdwsavefile but with supergroup bases.

Ability to rename my SG without deleting my base. If i could save my base this would not be an issue. If it doesn't change i'll eventually bite that bullet and just rebuild it but don't really need to do so right now.

A pvp mode for my base so i can spar with people in my dojo! The arena is nice and works well enough but this would be nice. i havent done base raids nor do i know if they still exist but seems like that is SG vs SG not 1v1 or 2v2 type stuff like id do back in sirens call way back when.

Start / p2w vendor NPC available for my base. would just be a nice add.

The afk kickout / notification seems to come waay to soon. a lot of times im just trying to decide what to do or watch the game go by or just let my character go a bit and "YOURE AFK MOVE NOW OR ELSE..." i get it is necessary to some extent and in certain scenarios. i can already hear people saying its because of afk farming or some other random thing...

Coalition invites to my own characters supergroups to link them together.  like /altinvite but for supergroups.

general clean up of the interface. mostly where numbers or described processes in the info don't match what is actually "happening". "unclear because unclear" isn't really a good way to go about it in a game of numbers. especially one where people are given the opportunity to make different "number bots"(character / toons). biggest example I can think of is where in the power info windows there's no clear distinction between the dmg with or without fiery embrace in many cases without quite a bit of knowledge and checking / testing which is quite hard without a character with fiery embrace at the same level on the same AT... I really don't think I should have to go to the test server for that but i can already hear people telling me to do so. Also corruptors seem to have their dmg numbers perma whats it called? corruption-ed? in the info. Knowing the dmg with and without would be nice. I'm betting it's double but idk for sure. A lot of bloated / underquoted stats and unclear descriptions and places where things like -regen is in the description but nowhere in the stat section of the info does it have any -regen number or percent... stuff like that. seems a quick fix albeit very tedious to go through them all. idk. but stuff like this will drive new people insane, perhaps even the current / existing / returning and is just making way more work for everybody than is necessary.

I'm hoping for Rogue / Vigilante start options and more content to flesh these out. seems likely.

Rebalancing of epic power pools / more patrons and a blueside equivalent such as "mentors" as well as rogue / vigilante "patrons" some of the epic pools have nice things others just seem like a waste. very subjective / relative here. or even a long arc that gets an ice power maybe not super strong but unique and "viable" as the kids say. Seems some really cool things can be added here. of course balance / parity is always an issue...

Self casting for things like fortitude or shields or injection at even a reduced amount / strength. seems odd I can't buff myself with a syringe i can stab other people with or ice i can coat others with...

why dont all the armor sets have fear/confuse prot?  will it really make something like fiery aura OP if they have fear/ confuse prot built in? idk... maybe give all armors fear/ confuse prot. i get all armors should probably have a weakness. idk.

*Dialogue options*. the older content seems to have it set up where one can speed read the colored text for objectives and read the white text for more lore if desired. The newer dialogue seems to not really understand that concept and just lays it out in a way that just seems to color specific words for not much reason at all in enough cases to make me question it. Like they kinda got it but just didn't pass the rough draft phase or missed the point / didn't clarify the "new point". No, I don't have examples at the ready... My biggest issue is the dialogue options like "I'll do x, y, z" or " some snarky comment that doesn't seem to fit the character i've just created and am trying to play, RP, quasi-RP, or whatever" The dialogue options that are basically "accept or deny the task", "agree to do x, y, or z", or "inquire further about X, Y, Z" seem to be a lot more open to characters and players being who they want to be instead of running a pre-programmed response pattern while also cutting down on the comprehension time, which gets people playing more and allows those who want to take more time to do so.  Seems to have started with Praetoria, it's also in Dark Astoria, and some other places I'm catching. I like the content generally but find it tough to get through having to basically have someone else speaking for my character. Pulls me out too much IMO. I can "skip" it but its just not the same. I'm still understanding which group of devs or specific devs did and/ or are doing what. New content seems to be promising and ripe with opportunity, but please allow us to make up our own characters minds and have the freedom to come up with our own dialogue even if it is just in our own heads. It should be possible even in this Govt/org/group A vs B type help/do this task and repeat environment. the exploration tips are a great idea too but they do this too with things like" you think / wonder x, y, z" instead of simply suggesting something / allowing for something.

Dialogue speed. some of the cutscenes have dialogue going at paces that aren't even close to reasonably speakable paces even though the characters are at like "livable" speeds. seems weird and makes it hard to read imo. so maybe slow down the cutscenes or make the dialogue more to the point with also a vote to skip the cutscenes option on repeat runs.

Forgive me if this is already in progress, known, kaiboshed, or whatever - I've been "back" for 6 months after having thought this game was dead in the water and never really had a forum presence and this was very stream of consciousness and not very proofread. but my experience thus far has led me to this. I understand it takes time and not everyone will get their "way" but there is quite a bit here and I think quite a bit is worth it. The big ones for me were the papers/radios and the dialogue options being changed back to giving my character freedom of speech / original thought. I think the more diversity we/ they can provide / be able to have with our characters while keeping the / a balance the better but i think that's well known.

Looking forward to finding those with which I play / work well with and dealing with the rest. I've got bases on every shard with a gaggle of characters - see y'all around. Happy to help where I can and love creating some awesome characters alongside y'all. Hope to show you some of my favs. I'll be working and playing here and elsewhere. Thanks to those who have helped.  GLHF

TLDR:

-radios / newspapers available in all zones one has the "level" for and below or auto exemplar with a lower zone radio.

-Don't speak for my character please. Change the dialogue for mission giving / accepting / info gathering back to near the original format of Accept X or agree to do X and do away with creating my characters response for me.

-IO menu with percentages in my base even if that's simply allowing AH access in my base

-saving of bases & renaming of SGs & mode for sparring in my base

-ability for community created costume pieces

-Rogue / Vigilante start options

-afk auto log seems too soon.

- Fix / implement a working tf que for more pickup groups.

-IMO power pools / epic power pools could be better balanced / have better options. New patrons and a blue side / rogue / vigilante patron equivalent would seem nice to have eventually.

-stop bullying people out of gms /content or running their own groups / leagues because you generally do so. Just because your cult has nice punch or a lot of merits does not mean I want to join. thank you for your consideration. happy doing business where and when good business is available / i can.

-self casting at reduced rates

- General clean up of the power info to accurately provide the correct numbers whatever they are and / or "should" be.

Saving the base design:  we think alike.  There was, however, a discussion a year or two back where I'd brought this up.  The context was the idea of having the skilled builders offer to design nice-looking stock bases for those with no design ability, then share to those in need.  If I recall correctly, a comment made was that the whole base coding was a mess, hastily put together apparently, and to alter that coding to accommodate this would be a nightmare.   One can still hope that someday a way might be found.

Renaming SG without deleting base:  this one surprised me.  I might have been under a rock, but I don't recall this being an issue.  I sent an SG rename request in a couple of years ago, and the GMs handled the rename for me.  My base at that time was a pretty modest thing, but I don't recall any losses to it.

This has been brought up before. Not inclined to rehash the conversation for you, so just do a search on the forums for yourself.

When someone forms a team/league, the team/league leader gets to determine how things go. They usually have an established procedure for how to deal with things expeditiously. If you don't like that, then form your own team/league. And I am vehemently against penalties for anyone leaving early. Just because someone else has to deal with real life doesn't mean you get to pitch a fit and impose some sort of punishment.

They can apply to become a dev.

No one can claim a GM. If they won't let you join or you don't want to work with them? Form a team and take the GM down.

Like @Techwright said, just contact a GM. I misnamed one of my SGs and was deep in building the base. Had spent several days working on it, then realized the name was wrong. Sent a support request asking if changing my SG name was possible and suddenly there was a GM there asking me what I wanted the SG to be named. (S)he/they then renamed the SG for me and went about the rest of his/her/their day.

SG bases don't have AI pathing beacons. So MMs, Controllers, Dominators, and Crab Spiders can't use their pets.

And you have 10 minutes before the game boots you. So some time in that 10 minutes, do anything.

Holy fuck. I'm done trying to read your post. Please limit your suggestions to one idea per thread. Your suggestion is an epic (as in extremely long read).

Morality and Alignment missions are mostly in the zone you "start" them in, so let those be your stand-in for radios. The devs probably won't implement level-appropriate radio missions because of how the Safeguard/Mayhem contacts work, also cutting down on PLing in starter zones (which don't have radio/newspaper options now).

I have thoughts on the subject of this wall of text:

The only part of open-world Giant Monster hunting that annoys me are the players (solo, multi-box, team, league) that don't "clean up" to reset certain events. I understand the excitement of taking down a Giant Monster (or two, or three) but that excitement was only possible because someone reset the previous event.

I solo hunt Giant Monsters frequently and regularly. I also join and form teams to do so... but there is no propriety on the open world. The primary reason I solo them is because on average it takes me shorter amounts of time to find, defeat, and clean up than it takes to form a team (or league, or whatever). The non-summonable monsters will be back in 1/2/4 hours with necessary 'reset' conditions met.

Over the years I've developed a very good sense of how long it takes me to solo each zone event Giant Monster with and without using Lores, except for the Rikti Dropship! I mention this only because I have gotten grief from some players when I'm on minute six of defeating a Giant Monster that has been in the zone for hours... so I am not unaware of how some players view monster rewards. Another reason I mention this: I am 100% serious that the team of level 50s doesn't need four sets of Banished Pantheon Lore summons to defeat Adamastor.

Players are generally less interested in (zone event) Giant Monster rewards when there is another source of easy rewards... so spring fling, Mapserver, Trick-or-Treat, etc. Even the usual hourly Adamastor Multi-Boxers seems to have slowed down on some servers.
