C'mon - you aren't stupid;  I'm sure you know that they could have mode those powers cones or AoEs if they wanted to.  Clearly, they didn't, so why bring it up?  Were you just gazing at your navel, thinking, "Hey!  Why's this thing that the devs could have made one way, a different way instead?"  A quote comes to mind, (paraphrased):  "Methinks thou doth protest too much"...

You're supposed to assume good will. What you're advocating is the opposite. 

 

Edit: You're basically calling him out as a liar because you can't relate to someone just wanting to have a conversation. Believe it or not, sometimes people do just want to talk about ideas. If it turns into a suggestion, you can disparage them then (why do players always want realism in a way that benefits them sounds like a diss anyway).

You just weren't using the right drugs. Several decades ago, up in the Bay Area, some yahoo hopped up on PCP was stealing a refrigerator when he was accosted (been too long, I don't remember whether it was a guard or a police officer), refused to cooperate, and was shot three times. He put down the refrigerator, beat the shooter unconscious, then walked a half mile to a hospital and presented to the ER. He survived, but was later prosecuted.
