victusfate Posted June 17 Posted June 17 (edited) This poor fellow is level 44 and still collapses under any reasonable incoming fire. Am I barking up the wrong tree trying to make them tankier? here's their build plan (they are mostly on the way there with IOs etc). Ideally I'd like to get them ready for +4x8 (my scrapper ready threshold). I have the proc +50% crit IO in rib cracker. I experimented with it in sweeping cross and it seemed to proc a little more often when fighting groups. Scrapper_TenchuHyabusa_StreetFightingNinjitsu.mbd Edited June 17 by victusfate
Erratic1 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 You didn't take Kuji-In Sha? If you want to live, why would you not take your healing power? You should probably take Tough and Weave somewhat earlier. FWIW, these are the numbers on my WM/Nin Scrapper: 1
victusfate Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 I had the heal but spec'd it out, it seemed kinda sad in use vs healing procs and regeneration over time (unleash potential helps a ton when its up). Plus I don't mind using temp powers and insps which help too. Thanks for sharing your numbers. Maybe ninjitsu just isn't as strong vs packs as SR and Energy Armor, I could reroll this concept as either of those.
Erratic1 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I have SR and EA Scrappers and don't find Nin to be particularly weak in comparison. There are tradeoffs of course. SR neither heals nor recovers endurance but has the best DDR, though that means little against foes not inclined to debuff it. EA has healing, endurance recovery, stealth, and scaling recharge in exchange for weaker DDR and more clicking. Nin has healing, endurance recovery, stealth, enhanced crit chance from stealth, and Sleep/Confuse/-To-Hit but the worst DDR. Note: You did not take Blnding Powder either. If you are not taking and using the powers of the set, why are you expecting it to perform as well as other sets? 1
victusfate Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 (edited) As with most builds you select a subset of preferred performers to go with pools that help the set that much more. Would you recommend dropping willpower or fighting pool for blinding powder and the heal? I haven't found either to be impressive or much utility (low mag on bp, heal is not much, long cooldown). Can you share some solo +4x8 play without those pools, I def could be missing a huge winner, hence the post. Thanks for the feedback! Edited June 17 by victusfate
Erratic1 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 While the magnitude on Blinding Powder is not high, are you fight crowds composed of lieutenants? But I would agree with BP being the expendable power. I would not skip the Heal, even if you find you can only weakly slot it (mine is fully slotted but doubtlessly because more was being considered in set bonuses). I absolutely would not drop the Fighting pool. Its bedrock for achieving survivability. You clearly planned Willpower as part of your build, getting your travel power and having use for Unleashed Potential, so no, dont drop it either. I have never truly found Ball Lightning all that useful. So I would probably trade it out. But if you find it more useful than the Heal, don't change a thing. 1
ShardWarrior Posted June 17 Posted June 17 My main is Street Justice/Ninjitsu and has very little issue with any content in the game regardless of difficulty setting. It's very easy and inexpensive build-wise to cap positional defense (Ranged/Melee/Aoe). I will message you with the build I use if you like. I would also take advantage of using the Scrapper ATOs. 1 1

Yeah message me or share it here, thanks. My issues might be just me piloting the character. I have had lots of success with many other characters but this particular combo had me both interested but a little frustrated so far.
Due Regard Posted June 18 Posted June 18 This is my TW/Nin... I question your slot expenditure, especially chasing after Acc and S/L res bonuses in LotG. |MBD;26405;1693;2260;BASE64;| |GyRnYJwFdiybThz9uZRO5mc5lFaVmSFuXE2xnRfhaYAeOlYzN1R+em4TJvn80wKFXgJ| |DmTWLTldff6n1Vm1GfVz0OYvmJzWDpbcr1hhpAO3xD6uW5sMH0A+B89Uue5nRC7sfck| |JOee+UnE/opTLPiaVEkcxtyG8Oba9Thm9oZD2yORQzhCznzfQnFliWUgopkxIkOt5Sq| |sj5RiGe2wubs4QhLb4lAjhUQN4dS/h85sOcDwO+hIj2EA4vBtQrlHs5jjgrNr8hDkWQ| |KsvC9wCa3Vk68VCq6jwnvIAnpYESvk+KDih6Nn7C8gk3gY8COuKc3ZQPfrDI43WN8zY| |DrzfUY583ZJS+eOxH04AC2yXJRr6ccorrRcsiH3KI3SRjFY81PHQrcyUvcItjyXXdTr| |1S+SomdgFOqVtpycPhtOMunJ2N/C/Nv8qgrJcr71RJKbrwIWZvfC8R4U05KPfZ4Cu62| |JW+/4ua2N6aDyo5/9oSDbnWm54+6mWi0W6ysJvrt+/+xYNuHQ7Lt3flxP9A2xyv1i5m| |/w9uo8qtPn13j8epeSrhA8x5wRzFq7qlyRKX+5NlLkOjS2SRuSby1bdAVuCLu3hUOIa| |hQB9POZ33oHCfOIyDdyizLF0nBHnBL5DKnGgCbfe3VL8EQT9jdgcF6HegBB8ea4FCPj| |wneov6rVQ7mqLJd09NMyWaIfypRVjRXeB8STQquu2kKsuXfwctfO4KJ2lL+CUzIQWPQ| |jwbwzR6l2C7wqkuVva44o228Ke567c6Koru4iaMU1ZnIWoWkvcueC5imyjjT1ngNse4| |I7jMGXyMIJdEf0F4I6oZHRTA7Sil57O3QyGJ81gVmgyXW2+ugO5pstZe8YxBux/x39e| |U8T564RUhbEH1svGm7vWORhJHJiOdtPqxzjBsnqgpFzl5AilVDQWpVG8x27rJ926UYv| |O8MCbcuciMRcdt+cNVvOvSWezNHOedIzJKUM0V1/3qviLlRCfeCAtWgtT7bKPqYmOf6| |zIh3HNpWi6+1NCLQ1z9P8A85J1pdFFkzfLuExnGEjyhe2JWxzJpdTz6ILHIxCG0vcZr| |bIAbxr3JdOCcsVfe0TlTTnnnlGHptewLbhLlVhVfnTPhZH4OVxXgxTy7S/7Ef4mGyjn| |OfenTPKDLC8t+PBgF4AG9gsS58QKjEDyimeA3MOJ/wGoXVQQ1QAmJ6IznW21QnfmIe7| |BWKZpsXMFdODG6SictI32tRadjJ+KDE6EdczjQQDPAqaADzQJOB000IGnlP53+gO8w9| |8AibrNPjSsMfrjfRvZlGkfClsCCtToTFT4yGZF3zNQVf+UOpcUqWSObPzP/dHGteuD6| |PVY1Arhh3Dnn3oCen0eGZUvnUyOtMR0UkEg3TMBzYAjPsyooDZO4rQ/KFx/LgAEvjPc| |hi3ITzuGRW556HEdJH1iriEpwu3Ak1RxN3Zbppu4xu6Q/EJN/xVnhnJe9nxN+l7GC6h| |DbR2/ur+B5vw3j3DlpXed5xU58vA4+sY6+tmrO6EzUaRamO526Y+gUuaRtEidSb1NPr| |veb19deHZ+HqsvAInTVMZTBb4odofrC+jkMhgeGD2CIfonJlEyZ1vJXp0mmZsWBjA1N| |x3NDwzZWnctSzbHSfAIXjEpqim8cRa2kLVItmPLnMTPpohku/s529uMEE2jm8BdmYCR| |gVdGdAwapKy5N/dCMhOnYsCp9ib4ajKn86Ayi4VVqxxB4yXTm2TytLb++mcY2SGpgS/| |ppjxVN9kLjPH68yUqQi5ucJB/oblV4TOd5bcByimRd3g9a+RGRTtkVQcYX/6Q5KutrR| |rHbCwxUOdN4HBxexwQiMIqDGBgFIBLNAn6LKHgz/VSLaJefatSBB9Yz3m4rTnnNfHN6| |R3DgPSD7MmtN0tSG+R/sioN6WPvE01DZMb5yrbpAGz2smm0mhW3ZTtU4/PuZm6RDvXT| |F/X2680P9/tH3NpU8MhvKX3FcL7pu87Vf6mkHT0KsFiZiCSwDdYw1X6oNrBEp/q3Wv+| |x6yEU3f/Zctl9Wt+VNsXDKclDfee26jGsqj1dFjIMw7M6KgOWHo8uHSika4lwV7jJCy| |joxVkXCbrYnv9JxfXAfvJnaaJGGkuoUZFfedIaQEp+o4/RooIZ4UIrjD0AWGt7SevP6| |Uf/oO0ZJ6f0mnodYj1NN0008BX1obFbrUG6IrRm0l6N11AMvyQGqjGS2Jk4rUsSA3Jq| |2rMRnAHbpIEvlGJ6yzGRVGbYVI8Ham2ZnZXtS83WJh6F9Bw==| 1 Death is the best debuff.
Due Regard Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Note, I actually have a baby StJ/Nin... They are still leveling (27ish?) and on SO's at the moment. I've not bothered to plan the final build, yet. Death is the best debuff.
Story Archer Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) Hopefully this helps - she's my current badger and 1A main. I farm +4/x8 solo with no problem. She's my second strongest Scrapper. [Veil of Blades] new.mbd The Heal and Recovery clicks come back up fast (18 seconds & 24 seconds respectively) and Rune of Protection goes a long way in shoring up the defenses in those -Def fights. Melee Core Embodiment (when you get to Incarnates) also does wonders for your damage resistance and you'll have one of the two of them up 75% of the time. Blinding Powder is decent mitigation on its own and offers a wonderful enhancement set in Coercive Persuasion. Shadow Meld and Kuji-In Retsu are more for muleing LotG but they have their place in the rotation from time to time as well. I can't speak to what Street Justice brings to the table, but I'm not using any defensive mitigation from my offense, so this is purely Ninjitsu. I will ask this - do you need all those power selections from Street Justice? I've never played the set (I think it's animations look cool, though), but I've found that one of the keys to building a strong scrapper is to get as efficient as possible with your attack chain(s), not just when it comes to rotation, but also when it comes to slotting. Gaining an extra power slot or two and another half dozen or more enhancements free can go a long way towards optimizing your build. aethereal Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I feel like Ninjutsu really benefits from going a bit overcap on positional defenses, given low DDR this gives you some buffer to prevent defense cascade. It won't stop your defense from slipping against enemies that really heavily debuff defense, but it helps a lot against opponents who just do sort of "normal lethal attacks that have a small defense debuffing component."
