Mental Posted Tuesday at 12:02 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:02 AM When I play CoH game and try to watch YouTube I always get laggy videos. I don't have this issue with any other game nor does my system show it can't handle this. Has anyone come across this issue and anyway to fix it? Any help would be great! My System Specs i7-13700KF 3.40 GHz 64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable) RTX Asus TUF 5070Ti 16Gb Win11 64bit
Game Master GM Crumpet Posted Tuesday at 10:11 AM Game Master Posted Tuesday at 10:11 AM It might be your ISP. I'm on 1gb internet and play the game with youtube on my second monitor all the time. Have you done the obvious and rebooted your router? What about if you connect via ethernet and not wifi? You might find changing your wifi channel helps as a lot if ISP's have everyone using the same channel as a default which can slow you right down.

CoH is odd in that it can, under certain circumstances, be very resource hungry, even on modern systems. It may seem counterintuitive, but try reducing the particle count and maximum draw distance a little. Also disable things like always showing other players' names, as GUI elements seem to be particularly demanding. Yes, I know this doesn't seem logical for a 20+ year old game, but that's been my experience... 1

Captain Fabulous Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago CoH uses OpenGL instead of DirectX, which often causes weird issues on modern hardware. If you're running the game fullscreen try windowed mode, and vice versa, see if that helps. You can also try disabling hardware acceleration in your browser, see if that makes any difference. You could also try a different browser that isn't Chromium-based (assuming that's what you're using) such as Firefox. I know if I'm running the game and pull up a Chrome window I often get weird scrolling issues with images and video on the page.
