Skyhawke Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Take the character that's about to have their name and likeness moved to the other build, strip them clean of enhancements and cash, go out to Monster Island, pick a fight and let that character die a heroic death. Then delete them/rename them and then rename the character you want to play, redo their look and say they're taking on the legacy of a friend. 1 1 Sky-Hawke: Rad/WP Brute Alts galore. So...soooo many alts. Originally Pinnacle Server, then Indomitable and now Excelsior

momentarygrace Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Here's an alternate idea since just renaming and skinning didn't work for you... what if the build that was stronger is renamed and re-skinned to be Elastic's cousin, who picked up the mantle after (something) happened to the original? For what it's worth, I have Car Wash (water blast sentinel) on two servers. The original is Carter Washington, surfer dude bro who was altered after an explosion at the car wash where he worked to get the funds to support his surfing lifestyle. Car Wash (#2) on the other server is his cousin Carson who was at a lunch counter next door to the car wash and was also irradiated with the whatever. 🙂 I have also entirely re-skinned a character without re-naming them. It worked in one particular instance. 1
Scarlet Shocker Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Absolutely possible for OP to swap names and/or costumers from one char to another Anything is doable and we shouldn't be able to try. I'm guessing reading a bit between the lines his question is as much about the "feel" of the character and will swapping their names impart that "feel" to the new character. That's obviously a question we can't answer because we don't live in OP's brain. I would suggest that alternatively he can remake Elastic Bandit and begin again from level one. This might help recapture the "feel" and imprint that persona on the new toon. It needn't take long at all, under 15 hours of gameplay if that's what he chooses. a hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. Crysis Posted Sunday at 03:40 PM Posted Sunday at 03:40 PM (edited) Perhaps not exactly what you mean, but I’ve multiple characters I rebuilt as different powersets to replicate a lifelong “progression” of powers. Often I’ll address this in the alt bio’s. One is a cybernetic character that keeps “upgrading” herself with these various upgrades providing her all kinds of new persona. This is represented kind of like Tony Stark’s various suits as Mark 1-Mark VII and so forth. So in one incarnation, an Arsenal controller, then in another, an assault rifle blaster, etc. I’ve also done some “reincarnated” alts, where in one life the character was a Broadsword/Regen scrapper and then reborn after demonic takeover as a Broadsword/Shield stalker. So many damn alts and different ways to make them, I find it fun to “continue my character arcs” via just remaking the alts. Oh and I almost never go back and play them once retired, nor will I have two versions of the same character “alive and active” at any given time. Just a quirk of mine. **EDIT** I lied, I do have some “twin” alts across two of my accounts. An Illusion/Savage Dominator and an Illusion/Storm Controller. Twin costumes, twin/shared bio’s, shared primaries but different secondaries (that fits the bio/backstory). I found both of these to be very active playstyles however, so have only dualboxed them in teams a few times as it’s just hard to control both of them well. Was a lot of fun when I did though as they create quite a bit of chaos on the playfield when unleashed together. Edited Sunday at 03:45 PM by Crysis 1
