Traps: Force Field Generator + Power Boost

Just curious how do these two powers interact? Will the defense increase work for the entire duration of the generator?

Howdy, I was curious about this as well so I went to my second build and filled it out with powerboost and FFG.

 

Unfortunately, it has 0 effect on FFG. I tried to use it before and then summon and it was still 10%.

I tried to use it after it was summoned and still 10% for duration. This is sad news especially when you compare it to time manipulation Farsight buff that can be boosted by Powerboost.

Booo. That's unfortunate. Pines said that it would work but I felt that it may not in practice.

Yeah, it doesn't work because FFG's shield isn't your power. Your power is just the summon, the FFG is a pet and the shield is a power on the pet, so Power Boost can't affect it. Same with Protector Bot shields, Thug Enforcer Maneuvers, etc.

 

Farsight works because it's a power you cast, not a power your pet casts ;-)
