CaptA Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I consider myself (in game) pretty wealthy despite not having billions in inf laying around. I have several supergroups that are all for only my characters. I'm a base builder, so that's the main reason for multiple SGs. When I came back to CoH, I created and played my main for awhile, and then I decided to create a farmer toon. I got him farmed to get to 50, and then used inf to build him up to a point where he could farm fire farms and start bringing in the inf and loot. That character was the last time I spent any serious influence on a character. Assuming you are at the stage where you are spending time generating inf and selling drops for more inf to build out your character, this is where my method differs from most: 1.) Build a base and drop in storage bins, salvage racks, and an invention table. This takes 10 minutes or less. 2.) Save every enhancement set recipe you get. Some of those early ones can be useful at 50 (Steadfast protection, etc.). You don't need to actually have the recipe you need - just make sure they are in the correct level range. Use DO/SO enhancements early on as you level up. 3.) As you get salvage, use it to create the recipes and drop the enhancements in storage. Drop excess salvage in the racks. 4.) I use inf to buy super/winter packs and for crafting costs. I use merits to buy converters. Don't have an enhancement I need? I convert others to get what I want. 5.) Convert enhancements to the ones you need or are likely to use. I have 2000+ enhancements in storage. When I hit 50 on a character, I just move it around to my various SGs and build out of my stored stuff. I leveled about 5 or 6 characters up to 50 during the Trick or Treating. I spent maybe 10 million on picking up stuff I didn't have or ran out of. People like to say that they "don't have time for crafting", but are willing to spend way more time farming for inf or whatever. Why sell something that can be converted into something you can use? The marketeers don't get much out of me.
