We teamed together many times on Victory. Connected on Facebook after shutdown, chatted with each other a bit. Never got to know him as well as I would have liked; I'm a bit of a shut-in and don't reach out to people all that much.

Because I wasn't extremely close, I'm not going to reveal his real name or go into details on what happened. I don't know if it's my place to say. I don't honestly know exactly what it was, myself. But he's been in and out of the hospital a few times over the last few years, and a few days ago his partner posted that he was in the hospital and "these might be his final days". Just a short while ago, she posted a follow up: "My beloved [@E.Normous] left me early this afternoon. He fought valiantly but simply could not overcome it all this time."
