Mapserver issue? Can't log back in to game

Hopefully, this is fixed soon. Can't log in either, and I was running through PI as a lowbie in a ToT league. Getting back in is going to be interesting.

@everyone We're aware of an outage affecting one of our physical hosts and are currently investigating. OVH's automated monitoring has also picked up on this and they're preparing to intervene if necessary.

I seriously hope I didn't lose influence, just as I mapserved, I was emailing some from one toon to my global. Was gonna just go make a new alt. Then unable to log in at all. Hope this isn't a sign to not make new alt? LOL

Considering the "Server Status" page shows all servers online with active players, I wonder if all of our toons are just standing there or unconscious.

I'm always interested in hardware incident post-mortems. HC Devs, if you can share what happened or what was done to bring the server back up, please do.

 

-- Widower made an announcement in the linked post whilst I was laying down to nurse my head cold. tl;dr: the physical server containing the authentication server, Everlast, and Victory died. The auth server was migrated to one of the remaining boxen, but Everlasting and Victory are still MIA.
