Astral merit on a level 29 character?

So... this can't be right, can it? I haven't emailed any astral merits to myself and certainly have claimed any out of my mail. Frankly, I don't run much, if any at all, incarnate content.

 

Not sure if this needs to be petitioned as a bug or a possible corrupted character data. I haven't noticed anything else out of place.

Did you complete any SSAs? I don't think it would show on the rewards menu for a level 29, but maybe it did. And even without doing incarnate content or e-mailing Astral merits to yourself, you can get them (once per week) from completing a SSA.

If you joined an incarnate arc (Belladonna, Number 6, DA), those will drop Astrals to pre-50 chars.

I haven't happened to have joined any of those, but I wasn't aware that they'd drop for pre-50s. Thanks for the info.

Similarly, you get 10 Vanguard merits when you participate in a Rikti mothership raid, even if you don't have the 'Member of Vanguard' badge to receive the 'normal' Vmerit rewards for defeating Rikti.

I want to say that I got an Astral merit on a sub-50 as part of a reward from the Pirate event.

 

As for SSA... I am somewhat certain that the reward option for Astral merits (at least as repeat rewards) doesn't show up until 50.
