New error just showed up in the launcher

New error just showed up in the launcher with a Yellow triangle with exclamation mark.  If you click it, you see this message:

 

Error retrieving http://manifest.cohhc.gg/pkg/hc_live.json: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)
Error retrieving https://manifest.cohhc.gg/pkg/hc_live.json: Failure when receiving data from the peer

 

The game launches fine.

 

This is using the launcher on a Mac.  This problem did not happen earlier today.

I crashed on a Hami raid and had to restart. Also getting this on a PC.

Making launcher unavailable to download as well unfortunately. Right as my friend was going to download.

yeah I figured I'd just redownload the game now I cant feels bad

It seems to be fine now but it has made a mess of my sorting and I'm pretty annoyed about that. Spent a lot of time arranging them how I liked.

It looks like the domain for the hc coh manifest (https://manifest.cohhc.gg/pkg/hc_live.json) may have expired.

Just got back from running some errands and, it seems to be fixed.  I'm not seeing the little yellow triangle with the exclamation mark that points out the erro.

On my computer, it seems to have corrected but I was never getting it on my laptop and alt account, to my knowledge.

If I ever notice it again, I won't log in. I have a lot of characters arranged just like I wanted and it scrambled the order. Pretty annoying.

The order is controlled by your playerslot.txt file which is local to the client machine, not server.   So if you copy that over to another machine, it will have the same order.  Otherwise, it populates that file when you bring up each server and page of characters.   default order is by DB ID which happens when that character gets to that server.

Yeah, I've been getting this error as well...

 

It hasn't impacted gameplay or broken the game though.

That is what I'd remember hearing too but then this happened. I suppose it could be coincidental but the timing was dead on to logging in with this error active; hard to believe it doing that didn't somehow corrupt the file. It didn't seem like it got totally wiped as some of the characters were more or less in their spots with random ones switched but then it gets more and more scrambled the further pages you go on the character list.

Maybe I'll try to get in the habit of saving a copy of that file periodically as a back-up because I don't want to do this again any time soon.
