Ukase Posted Friday at 12:44 PM Posted Friday at 12:44 PM Not sure what possessed me, but I made a seismic/earth blaster. I get to level 26 and take the nuke. Not terribly impressed yet, but one slot so far, can't expect much. But my target macro...all my other targeted AoEs using the same formatted macro, just changing the name...it works - but it misses. It's like on a dartboard, if I aim for the bullseye, it goes lower and to the right. The mobs don't even notice the attack. Why would this happen? I thought maybe the macro was using the cursor instead of the target, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It has worked inside of missions, but for whatever reason during a zone hunt, it's just falling short.

Sounds insane that a blaster nuke would fire off and miss every target in a mob but you never know. What macro are you using exactly? I've seen alot of players running macros with distance parameters. Mines the most basic of basic and seems ok considering meteors epic delay before hitting.....i've seen entire mobs die before meteor hits on fast moving teams. /macro M "powexec_location target Meteor" /macro M "powexec_location self Meteor"
Ukase Posted Friday at 07:48 PM Author Posted Friday at 07:48 PM If it's missing, wouldn't it aggro the mobs? My other attacks cause aggro when they miss. And I suppose I should have checked the combat logs for a miss, and I did stop at 3 and just assumed I'd have to use the reticle. So, maybe I did miss. No idea.
PyroBeetle Posted yesterday at 12:46 PM Posted yesterday at 12:46 PM This is a problem for me sometimes with the game geography. If the mobs are standing on a platform or the like, occasionally the meteor will pass through the feature to explode on the bar ground and thus miss all of the mobs you wanted to target.

No idea. I'll echo what @PyroBeetlesaid. Especially problematic on the TV reactor missions where your on the upper ramps, hit a macro and it'll target the floor beneath, its not just meteor it'll drop tar patch/tide pool/sleet anything below the mob where they are completely unaffected by whatever power your using. Sometimes its a map issue. Try placing the power manually and see if its still occurring. Edited yesterday at 03:02 PM by Meknomancer
Ukase Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM Author Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM So, this has happened again, and when it does, the combat log gives no clue - it just says I activated the attack, but no result as to whether it's a hit or miss. So, I've just taken to using the meteor situationally. Fortunately, Seismic Smash is a part of the secondary, I just won't play Seismic primary any more. This is just not good compared to fire, ice or water. Even the customization options are kind of ...ugh. Worth the 2nd try though. I'll finish it to 50, respec, and siphon off the loot for the next character.
