Yipp Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 This is my final Robot/Dark/Mace MM build. I have gone through 4 respec's and a lot of testing and this build is awesome & fits the way I want to play my MM. My MM plays as a support/controller in partnership with his bots. His rotation is Fearsome stare, Petrifying Gaze, Web Cocoon with twilight Grasp as needed. With +2 Lockdown able to lock down bosses completely for the duration of the fight & if they dare break free the combination of fearsome stare, darkest night, twilight grasp etc... have turned them into wet noodles. The only real damage ability I have is Void Judgement Incarnate which further reduces targets damage output by 50% (along with Darkest Night's 30%). I do not taunt mobs to attack me & do not rely on bodyguard mode. I use the 3 keybinds which I think are self explanatory, F2 leaves Protector bots in "bodyguard" mode only, F3 is to rally my bots for Team Inspiration Buffs (Do not forget to unlock them at the P2W vendor). This is a fairly passive build, but it does require liberal use of F1 to direct your bots to attack specific targets as I rarely find "Aggressive" stance useful except when drinking :P /bind F1 "petcom_all defensive attack" /bind F2 "petcom_Pow Battle Drones defensive attack$$petcom_pow Assault defensive attack" /bind F3 "petcom_all defensive follow" Incarnates Alpha - Intuition Judgement- Void Interface-Diamagnetic Lore-Warworks Destiny-Clarion Hybrid Support Sorry but DOH! ::) The reason there are two empty slots in Battle Drone & Protector Bots are for Sudden Acceleration KB to KD, which Pines does not have that enchantment available to select. ::) Villain Plan by Mids' Villain Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Level 50 Magic Mastermind Primary Power Set: Robotics Secondary Power Set: Dark Miasma Power Pool: Leaping Power Pool: Fighting Power Pool: Leadership Ancillary Pool: Mace Mastery Villain Profile: ------------ Level 1: Battle Drones (A) Superior Command of the Mastermind - Karthunk Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 What are the stats on your bots looking like buffed for defense and resist? Also.. are you able to do +4 team size 8 incarnate content without pulling your hair out because of the AE damage?
Yipp Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 In this thread you can see what the stats looked like before my incarnates https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,5964.0.html As far as +4 8 player content, I do not do that solo as I do not think its efficient in gaining XP. My standard solo is +3 & 3 players as I would rather complete the mission and move on. Team play is mainly +4 and 8
Ragweed Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 How did you build fare with SOs? Do you have SO slotting recommendations for levelling?
Yipp Posted July 21, 2019 Author Posted July 21, 2019 I sold everything I got between 1-50, did not slot any DO's or SO's ever. Then I used level 25-30 Crafted IO's from 22-27 until 50. They are about the same power as SO's but you only have to buy them once & you will not out level them all the way to 50. I did not replace them until 50 & did not use the more expensive 35's or higher no need to do that. Then at 50 I bought sets as I got the INF. I bet you can buy 25/30 IO's cheap on the AH.... cheaper than crafting I am sure, again saving INF
samodaje Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Hi, may I ask, why do you have empty slots in your build? Battle Drones and Protector Bots. And thanks for the build. So far is really fun to play. The first MM I really enjoy :) Ty
Yipp Posted July 22, 2019 Author Posted July 22, 2019 DOH! ::) The reason there are two empty slots in Battle Drone & Protector Bots are for Sudden Acceleration KB to KD, which Pines does not have that enchantment available to select. Now why do I have all the KB (Knockback's) converted to KD (Knockdowns).... why is that important? There are several reasons why, first is your Assault Bot places down a fire patch which burns enemies for a lot of damage, KB will take them out of that patch. You cast "Tar Pit", which is more than a slow, it is a -30 Res, you do not want to KB your targets out of your Tar Pit, if your bots KB the enemies in different directions your bots will spread out which will make healing your bots with Twilight Grasp more difficult. I will edit my original post for this information. Thanks
samodaje Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Thank you ;) Now it's all clear. Can't wait to make it to 50 :) 35 atm and enjoy it a lot.
samodaje Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) One more question pls - just to be sure if I got it right: Alpha - Intuition Core Paragon Judgement - Void Radial Final Judgement Interface - Diamagnetic Radial Flawless Interface Lore - Warworks Core? Radial? Destiny - Clarion Core? Radial? Hybrid - Support Core Embodiment Did I mess something up? 🙂 what about Lore/Destiny? Thanks 🙂 Lvl 50 - still a blast Edited July 26, 2019 by samodaje
Yipp Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 This is what I am doing and why Alpha - Intuition Radial Paragon; This one is a better fit, improves slow "tar pit", Damage, & to-hit debuff's which Core does not. Judgement - Void Radial Final Judgement; Yes this is the best choice the reduction in damage on a hard target like an AV along with your darkest night is a great combo Interface - Diamagnetic Core Flawless Interface; This is a tough choice, but in the end I decided on Core. Why? It improves the -tohit debuff which I will always be a factor in how much damage my pets & MM take, while the -regen is really important on hard targets. Also note, you only have two abilities that directly cast this yourself, Twilight Grasp (because of damage proc) & Void. However since your bots will be the main casters, having this ability stack, when I tested this, I felt the -to hit gave me a better bang for the buck as I am stacking that with Fearsome stare, etc... Lore - Warworks Core Superior; The reason for the is the AI on the heal (cast will NOT hit your spread out ranged pets) & 5 mins of your melee pet vs 3 mins Destiny - Clarion Radial Epiphany; It gives you a secondary effect boost, improves to-hit, -res, etc.... Hybrid - Support Core Embodiment; Yes because of the pets Glad you are having fun! I found this build to have amazing survivability, control, with simplicity of use. I would also make sure to purchase a few P2W items and have them on your bars: Blackwand For a ranged damage pull when you need it Reveal- To reveal the map Power Analyzer- If you want to see how your debuff's stack on mobs Renewal of Light- Self rez Back up Radio &/or Signature summon Melee- When you are in a tough spot and refuse to lose! :) Goldbricker rocket pack- when flying is required Med Pack/Recovery Serum- Break glass situation (I have never used them but I have them) All the purchasable teleports Ethereal Shift- This ability can let you complete a mission which requires you to get to the end of a map when your Shadow Fall & Celerity is not enough (remember to dismiss your bots) Also.... Remember to unlock Team Inspirations at the P2W Vendor as they do work on your pets within the 20' radius... Hit F3 Gather up your pets, hit team inspirations you wish to use.,
samodaje Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Thanks again for the reply! Very usefull info there. Another info: I did some PVP today with the build (most incarnates T3 - those that I did write down) and it works out great. Ofc, a hardcore brute showed up and it was a no go, but still fun as hell. The build works and it works good. I'm lacking some DMG on minions, not sure if more expensive sets would help out with that, especially cose I would like to PVE on +3x8 🙂 But as said many times, so far so good. Thanks! 1
Ragweed Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 (edited) Yipp, I liked your build so much that I made a Thugs/Dark build off of it. I dropped tactics, combat jumping, and super speed for gang war, teleport foe, and teleport and I had to switch a few enhancements and incarnates around, but other than that it's pretty much the same. Thank you! >> CoH Planner Link << Edited July 27, 2019 by Ragweed 1
