Disconnect while exiting missions and Tram

I have been experiencing disconnects while sometimes exiting missions. Also I will experience disconnects while traveling between different parts of the city. Usually there is a long load time while exiting.

 

I notice my teammates dont seem to have these issues. Do others experience this as well?

I'm getting this as well. I ran Tequila in console mode and it seems to get stuck on 'Detailing trays...', but I have no clue what to do about it. :(

On my end Atlas and Imperial City are no go zones. Any character I try to zone or login there boots me back to login after the loading screen hangs about halfway. For me, it seems to be connection based. My main connection is a tethered cellphone, but when I got a chance to borrow the hotspot for a bit, it loaded those two zones without issue on that connection. It's really weird, but somewhat livable issue as so far I can get around the rest of the zones without issue.

Interesting. I'm hardwired straight to my modem. I'm able to go through to the zones I've had to go to this far. I have pretty fast, reliable high speed internet. I just can't help but notice that when I team up I'm always the last one to exit a mission or enter a zone. And if course half the time I am disconnected after a few minutes on the load screen.

Do you have the game installed to a HDD or to an SSD?

Today is not my day...  :(

I had it every mission-exit, but this time I couldn't continue the mission after I logged back in.

Now I had to start the mission all over again.

I have a stable 250Mb connection and my computer is wired.

Believe me, if there's anything wrong, my kids are the first to tell. ;)

 

Funny thing is, this computer I'm using now is the exact same computer in the exact same configuration it was when I played CoH the last year it was live (2011). I actually never uninstalled CoH and it's still there on my HDD, but I use Score's version now.

My GPU is out of service since 2015 (ATI Radeon HD6770). The game runs OK, but zoning and exiting missions...

 

Well, can't complain, I'm still very happy running, jumping, flying and hunting again! :

I should have added earlier that I too am using the same PC I used when I last played COH prior to shutdown. I wonder if we who are experiencing these issues are a minority if the current population in game. I only ask because I always team up and the others seem to be able to go about there business. I'm always the last to load in or out and first to disconnect

That would be the issue. You can't zone until your client finishes loading and uncompressing the zone data. Even a small budget SSD is a vast improvement on that.

If that's so, then maybe it's a time-out problem? Maybe there's a configuration file to adjust? I had some time-out errors before.

Unfortunately I cant afford a new SSD at this time. Im disabled and on a tight budget. I guess I have to suffer

There actually is, or use to be a timeout limit or retry attempts slash/launch commands, it was mainly for people on dial up back in the day. It's the one I've been trying to find via wayback machine on the old forums. The pre-2007/8 CoH forums would likely have it somewhere in the tech support section, but I keep running into the wayback machine not having those pages saved.

I am on a very tight budget.  It was recommended to me that I purchase an SSD drive. Because I dont feel comfortable opening up my PC I was wondering if there are external SSD drives I can purchase.  Also, how inexpensive can I go and how much memory do I need just to run COH?
