Doctor FX Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) I regularly play this Rad/Rad scrapper with my controllers and corrupter friends. My role is mini tank, AOE debuffer, and boss lockdown via perpetual knockdowns. This is a fast +4 / x8 character but I respecced out of a couple of the big set powers and I'm wondering if I'm really leaving DPS/Defense on the table. I always have Speedboost due to the corrupter so I always have one of 3 single target (knockdown) power up and ready. What can I replace the two Concealment and Teleport Foe/Team Teleport powers with to make incremental improvements without requiring significant slots? Nightmarer Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Sorry but I do not understand what are you after with that build. Resistances are really low and since you don't have any useful def, I guess you rely solely on Barrier for surivablity which is something I would personally avoid. Also, can't understand a 6 slotted Air Superiority and leaving Devastating Blow out of the build. If you are happy with the build for what you intend to do with the scrapper, fair enough, personally, I do not understand taht build at all.

I'm going for being a team scrapper that debuffs Def, To Hit, and some Resistance. Barrier I rarely use (utility power I save to rez others just in case mainly). Are you suggesting Tough and Weave? Regarding Devastating Blow I found the animation time to be way too long for rooting and Air Superiority gives me the same results as a second Radioactive Smash (perma boss bounce). Leadership give everyone in the party +3.64 def all and is an SG requirement. Like I said, welcome constructive options... Edited August 9, 2019 by Doctor FX
Uun Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 The way a scrapper helps a team is killing stuff. Irradiated Ground should be slotted for damage, not defense debuff. Radiation Siphon should be slotted for damage and heal, not defense debuff. Ground Zero should be slotted for damage, not healing and defense debuff. Can't understand why you would skip Devastating Blow or Meltdown. Uuniverse

Your right in that a Scrapper's job is to increase the overall damage a team can do. I'll see if I can find a better set for Radiation Siphon. Meltdown is just a power I never had to use at all. Devastating Blow felt too slow when I had it last. The difference between Ground Zero slotted for damage and not slotted is almost nothing, I'll grab DB and Meltdown (8 minute recharge) but where is best to steal slots?

Fair enough, I've seen people tank with corruptors and stuff like that so I guess a debuffing scrapper is a valid option to team with your friends and SG mates. Regarding your first question, yes you're leaving DPS and Def on the table, plenty of it. Regarding your second point, those powers you mention are indeed skippable but with such a build, not sure it's worth replacing them for other powers without a serious slot reshuffling which, as per your initial post, you don't want to do. Can't be more constructive than that, sorry.
Hyperstrike Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Instead of relying on Barrier, you CAN build for max Resistance with a small slathering of Defense over the top. 75+% Resist to EVERYTHING?
