I totally remember drawing that pic of Raven Nevamore you have set as your avatar. IIRC it was a gift artz for your birthday and not a contest right? Oh that reminds me since I have been putting up collabs, I did one of Barron Overlord as well. Which became a collab with BW (yes that one ) when he put some quick colors down to show me how digital coloring could be applied without losing the linework. Good to see you too. There is a welcome thread somewhere here if you want to say to people, though some are still not here yet (despite repeated proddings from me) there are several familiar faces (avatars?) and several new artistic talents here already including Adrian, Jon, Franzkafka21. As you say DD and BW are here and you may remember Plangyke/FlashRains (posting as Flashtoo) and TemerousNox/Chernobyl Dawn (posting as Zemya Soldat). Oh and you might want to go back through my thread a bit. Yeah what is wrong with those people, check yo messages! whistles innocently. saw the new artists you mention, awesomesauce! I remember Nox, she did that chibi of sapphic neko and the feather right? don't remember a plangyke sorry. On 9/29/2019 at 11:53 PM, Christopher Robin said: Yep 5 different artists all contributed something to it. I wondered if you ever saw it before the shutdown happened. I haven't seen Lord Goat or Mike November (and Bobby is no longer with us) yet but I know DD had fun with her part. Your welcome for my part (the pencils), you did win the contest after all. Will do. I've been playing the game and reading a lot lately but I will try to finish this up... soon. ™ I rmember Lord Goat but haven't seen him in forever and i think Mike has a deviant art page yeah I saw your tribute art to baquitania what happened? Also I wanted to ask if I could use that Grey Ming Badda Bing art you did as my avatar is it cool? 1 1

Also I wanted to ask if I could use that Grey Ming Badda Bing art you did as my avatar is it cool? Lol says the guy who forgot to check his. Awesome-sauce indeed. Yep she did that and many more (including two for me! ). Her thread has slipped off the main page but click the thumbnail below to jump to it, that is the bulk of them from the old 606 I believe. Update: An outdated link seemed broken on my end but was working for her. It is re-hosted now and all should be well again. It's her DA name, do a search for "Plangkye CoH" over there and her stuff comes up without too much other unrelated content. Yeah I don't remember her posting that often in the 606 (at least not the years I was around) so you may not remember the name but her art speaks for itself, you should go check it out on DA or here under "Flash's Show Off Thread." I haven't herd (get it? goats roam in herds ) from Goat in a long while either. Hope he checks in at some point though. He was fun to collab with. Bobby was diagnosed with late stage cancer, he fought it bravely for as long as he could so he could have more time to spend with his loving wife, family and friends, he passed in Nov of 2017 (gah has it almost been 2 years already! Where does the time go?) Yes it's fine I will tell you the same thing I told the others who have asked, don't sell it/profit from it please and do not claim it is your work, if you display it elsewhere a link back to my DA page would be much appreciated. Otherwise yeah go ahead and use it for avatars/sigs/print and hang on your wall etc. (ask me before you go to print it though and I can scan it in a much higher resolution for you). Do you know which version of the three were you going to use? Edited October 17, 2019 by Christopher Robin 3 2 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? Uh hunh. Sure. Sure sure. IKR? No this won't be another run of tea related puns... not to billy-labor the point but we're talking about goats here and those two things have nanny anything in common... in fact you could almost say they're are completely ungulated but I won't omni-vore you with all the details though. You mean other than your Grey Ming pic? I'll dig out some art we did collaboratively and post it in a bit, making breakfast atm. Very cool, very generous. Sums up Bobby nicely. Christopher Robin Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 Here is one LG collab from back in the day. His wife/SO I believe was Lady Goatster. Here were my pencils. He laid down some flats and then asked me to go through and "punch up" his coloring. So I did a minor paint over and this was our final collaborative result. 8 Like the Costume Creator? I'll try them all out and see what looks best. 3
Christopher Robin Posted October 4, 2019 Author Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) Well he must be quite the charming fellow then... or maybe (plot twist!) I'm the Hour Thief! **Duh Duh Duuuuuh!** Let's see, Dashing, Dangerous and Untouchable with a long list of former lovers... check! Likes to read, prefers sidelong glances and is very handsome... check, check and double check! Insufferable punster... well insufferable seems a bit harsh but okay fine, check! It looks like I must be... oh wait hang on... man in black and owns a cat. Nope I wear orange... and I don't own a cat. Close but no cigar. I see you went with the lineart version for your avatar, it looks good. Cheers! Edited October 4, 2019 by Christopher Robin 7 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? Christopher Robin Posted October 4, 2019 Author Posted October 4, 2019 Oh and here is another goatinous collaboration. This time it was another forumite Pyro Nympho (maker of Sig buttons) who's birthday it was. He chose to have his eponymous hero done. Pyro imagines her based on a very specific person so the unusual lips, buck teeth and her slight cross-eyedness were all intentional and by request. Lord Goat did some basic colors and I did some punch up work on it. I notice at some point her teeth got reduced, not sure which of us did that lol. We were both still very much digital coloring n00bs at this point but it came out okay all things considered. Strangely the grey ponytail wrap on her topknot is my favorite bit of the coloring. 6 1 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? Christopher Robin Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 It keeps telling me I have "won the day." Does anyone know what this is all about? More artz! This was one of winners of my CoXsO (City of X send Off) event that happened just before shutdown. Sorry I do not remember their forum name but they go by Aybeecee on DA and the heroes name is Pyrebird. They also told me they had never had any artwork of their heroes done before so was going to be their first. The prize for that segment of the contest was a full color bust, this is the pencil drawing I sketched up for them. 7 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? DJ1 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 She's pretty, the shading looks so delicate and precise even though its still kinda scribbly. dont know if that makes sense or not. 4 1
Christopher Robin Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 (edited) No worries, I get where you're coming from, and thanks. Here then was the final result colored digitally. DJ1 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Is that the one from Striga Isle? Was she that old? 1
Christopher Robin Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Yep, Stephanie Peebles. I really went to town with the wrinkles but it's not off by that much. Well I haven't done her arc in a while but this is the best pic I could find of her on Paragon Wiki I do remember her talking about living in Striga back when it was little more than a shipping port. 1 1 Like the Costume Creator? Christopher Robin Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Couldn't decide on something for the husky category of Inktober so I went with a Husky (dog breed) named Husky (his tag) who is busy corn-husking (in his mouth) while riding in a Hillman Husky (the vintage car)... ...with a Husky vanity license plate. Christopher Robin Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Here are the component images of Corn, Dog, and Car for those that want to see more detail. The inside of the dog's mouth is unfinished since I knew there would be a corn husk in it. The corn took about 6 minutes the Husky took about 25 minutes and the car an hour. Good boy! Clearly I don't get much call to draw classic cars... or any cars for that matter. Edited October 8, 2019 by Christopher Robin 8 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? QueenBethari Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 @Christopher Robin I love how the car's vanity plate says "Husky." What a creative way to merge Inktober prompts! 4
Darth Delicious Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 If that didn't cover the Husky prompt then I don't know what did! hahahah. I missed the Husky one, but looks like you took care of it for the both of us.. and then some 😛 . Great entries CR! 5
Christopher Robin Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) @QueenBethari Thank you kindly. I thought about maybe just doing a bunch of corn husking but I wasn't really inspired by that idea so I thought what if it was a dog doing the husking, that made me smile so I started in on a Husky dog and then I mentioned what I was doing in passing to a friend and they said "wasn't there an old car called a Husky?" Sure enough there was. The rest is history. @Darth Delicious Indeed. Covered and smothered. Thanks! Edited October 9, 2019 by Christopher Robin 2 2 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Christopher Robin Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Even more collaborative fun. This was another birthday artz for Caemgen. Back on live he was probably the most consistent commenter in my art thread and he kept coming up with these compelling hero concepts that I wish I had thought of so I found myself drawing his heroes quite often. The guy can write really riveting stories too, if only he weren't so lazy about it. This is his petite witch Fenian in pencils. A colorist on DA named Vrykon colored her up, I made a few adjustments and then added my own quick and scribbly 30 second background. I don't have Vrykon's stage contribution handy but I'll see if I can dig it up later. This was the branching result with my finishing touches and background. This one goes far enough back I was still using my old sig. Edited June 10, 2020 by Christopher Robin 9 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? Thanks Healix, I had several more years practice under my belt and had drawn him a few times in between and so was more familiar. I had also grilled... err I mean gotten some good feedback from Caemgen. There was this 20 minute quick sketch I did which he dubbed Kid Caemgen. I liked it enough to rework and spend time detailing it. So about 1¾ hours later it had turned into this. Edited October 9, 2019 by Christopher Robin 8 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Christopher Robin Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 I took the design one step further too as this was also around the time I discovered soft-brushing. Which when combined with a quick color tint almost made it feel like you had a whole new piece of artwork. It could be kind of hit or miss sometimes but it took hardly any time or effort to apply so it was worth a shot to see what effect it had. This was the effect on the above sketch. I also lengthened his face to add back some years. 9 Like the Costume Creator? Enjoy a challenge? Love to WIN? You really should've clicked here before 6pm on Sunday the 18th!
