The vocalization for Taunt

I really want that "Ah-ha!" sound, rather than the scream that I have.   Is this tied to certain powers, or, is there a way to change that, please?

(Clarification)  After an inital scream on my redone tanker, the "Ah-ha!" is back.  Was there something preventing that on the brute I had made her first?  Shield and Super Strength in both cases.

(Clarification 2)  Now that I am in a mission, the scream is back.  On the surface in Atlas, "Ah-ha!" in a mission, scream.  I don't get it.

If you are Shield, you get the scream, at least if your tanker is female (most of mine are). 

 

I started making female tankers back in i1 because back then the female taunt was always the 'Ah-ha' while the male was the call of a dying giraffe.  Do not know when or why this was changed for Shield tankers specifically.

Hell as Psi Melee all you get is 'shanananananaaaa'!

Hi Eve, to answer your first question, "yes" certain power sets have different taunt vocalizations than others (compare savage melee to other sets (roar vs a "taunt"), and as Hera mentioned, female taunts are generally different than their male counterparts (the Ah-hah, one you mentioned being a good example (on mace, maybe axe too?)). I believe (haven't checked in some time) that the Brute taunts for similar sets may be different as well. I don't think there is a way to change the taunt vocalization/animation unless one was given in the hero creation/costuming/power effects  window (which to my knowledge there are none offered at this time, although that would be a great update).

 

If you're seeing a difference in taunt when in a mission vs when you're outside a mission, that may be a bug. Might be worth reporting.

I posted a topic on this a little while back.  Maybe it's something that maybe can be looked into re: feasibility.

 

All I'd like would be to eg. /taunt 1, /taunt 2 etc.  Like for the fly poses?

 

It seems to be defined per body type.  Big man, medium man on the character generator.  You get the 'Ahh....' or the 'Hurrh' (which sounds like he's being ill.

 

For the females you get the 'Ha, Har!' or the 'ARRRRRRRRH!' Amazon rainforest scream.  I'm fine with either of those.  

 

But I'm more a 'Ahh...' than a 'Hurr' man, myself...

 

Best thing is to email the SCORE team.   You'd think this could be simple change with a slash command.  But who knows.

There was a topic about how to replace sound files. I wonder if it could work for taunt. Would have to identify which sounds are which in the files which may not be obvious though.

In the mod pack?  You can now have the original 'Ahhh....'

 

I haven't tried modding the female taunts yet.
