Mission strategy while leveling.

Hi everyone,

 

Like most, was a launch player long ago.  Had a couple of questions about doing missions and keeping track.

 

1.  Are people doing every mission from level 1 and on?  Or are they skipping past the beginner levels and only doing important arcs? 

 

2. You out level areas and missions so fast, it seems not worth it to try and do them all.  

 

3.  Is there a master list of the major arcs you should do?  Where they start, how to get them and so on?

 

4.  For Ouroboros, can you do every single mission from the start?  If so, where is the NPC that starts you off?  Is there a mission completion guide in Ouroboros?

 

At some point, I'd love to do all the missions and arcs I missed long ago.  It feels a little clunky to manage and you miss so many contacts just by outlevleing them running DFB a few times at the start.

1.  Every mission probably not.  Even solo you'll out level early contacts pretty quick.  Anything you miss just use flashback for.

2.  Some like to complete contacts but most I've talked with in game just go back and do ones they out leveled via flashback.

3.  Paragon Wiki has a list of all available ouro arcs.  The only requirement is getting to I believe 14 so you can get the badge for the portal.

4.  Yes.  No NPC needed.  Just get someone to drop a portal for you when you are appropriate level and you can get the badge yourself.  Ouro itself keeps track of what arcs you've done.  So no need for an outside system.

Are the Flashback missions instanced? Are you going to parts of the world to do missions that are instanced only for your group?

 

Also, if you have the Ice and Fire portal in your base, can you do everything from there?  Or do you still need to go to Ouro to start things?

Flashback Missions just use the TF mechanics...You play in the normal zones with all the normal players running around in them...The differences between flashback and running it at the normal level are 1.) You can't add players once you start the arc, 2.) You can't buy Enhancements/Insps from most places (Bartenders in Pocket D are an exception) and can't purchase from the P2W Vendor...

The base portal works just like the ones in the actual Ouro zone.  So you can start any mission from there also.  One thing to also keep in mind beyond what is mentioned above is that Ouro mission rules for rogues and vigilantes are treated different.  A rogue cannot team with heroes and a vigilante cannot team with villains.
