So, I'll say right now that I'm mad jealous you've got a Halo Infinite XbSX! I tried every place I could to get that and didn't have any luck. Also tried the controller too - did you snag that??

Also, what the heck could a person use Cat 7 or 8 for? Isn't that for data center specifically?

I thought about it (because I could have), but it looked ugly, so instead I overspent on an all black custom controller with every layer of grip I could get, that way I wouldn't have to use these adhesive things that keep trying to come off my other console controllers. >.<

As for the network, I don't feel like crawling under the house again when it needs upgraded. 😛 I'd rather Over build and have the room to breath. Especially since I'm doing it myself with premade cables. I'm planning on putting one of these under the house (I have a protected outlet under their already) so that I can run a single line down from the router and then split to the major rooms. I found these cables that come in a wide range of lengths that should be perfect for a crawlspace in FL.

    Update:

Upgraded to an Xbox Series X

    .

    .

And lastly, I wired it up with a Cat5 ethernet cable so it's got much better packet sending and receiving! 😆

Well if it's gonna be like That... 😛

My entertainment console currently houses the main i7 Rig (ok, so That's on the floor, but it's connected), my release edition Wii U, my release edition Switch (I kinda want to upgrade, but I don't really play portable), PS5 (w/ 3 layers of storage), and my Halo Edition XBsX (will be getting that 1-2 Tb custom upgrade drive when I can). The 2019 MBP is still here, but I'm prepping the PPC Mac G4 (heavily modded) and the 2012 MBP (also modded) for sale finally.

Oh and yes, I will be running Cat7/8 under the house to each room at some point with switches at the jacks so that I can hardwire everything possible. That should free up my Tri-Band wifi a bit.

Well, if you're looking for "balls to the wall", the X3D should work nicely.

Based on current offerings, I'd settle for the 7950x, but with the way things are going, it'll be more like a 9750x by the time I can get it. >.<

Well folks it's been another year and I unfortunately don't have any new updates to put in the original post. Perhaps things are progressing, but I am not privy to it. Either way, I am happy to still be able to play this game four years later!

Unless we see some sort of obvious coverage for say a new IP or something from them that somehow references CoX, then I don't expect to hear anything. Well, not unless these people who keep making etsy stuff poke the bear That way.

I reinstalled launcher seems to haVE FIXED THE ISSUE

Yeah, that seems to be the standard solution from what I've read when it comes to the actual files. I think it's similar to the old "Verify Files" function in the original game in that it checks for damaged files.

  6. Keep in mind that I Think doing the command twice will overwrite the first file (if you don't give it a specific file name), so if you're doing it for multiple alts with Different binds, then you'll want to make sure to give a unique file name (as hinted in the example above).

  7. If it helps, my links have reference on how to handle any leftover data migration after you've done the installation of the Launcher. Granted, in Windows, the installer Should give you the option / automatically (?) all the files you generated anyway, but it never helps to double check. And yes, you can have Both installed, just don't put them in the same Exact folder.

  8. One of the main reasons I couldn't get into WoW, GW, etc was the UI and inability to really customize it (back then). Just something about the squares that never 'worked' for me.  I tried a few times here and there, but never could get into it. I also realized that while I'm not Super into Heroes as a theme, I'm Really not all that into the Fantasy theme as well. That explains why I enjoy some games over others. They tend to be more Sci-Fi than fantasy (Give or take things like Elex).

  9. It's 99% of the time the AV / firewall. You can Try disabling it to test, but that doesn't always Actually disable it, so you may Also need to try running Windows in Safe Mode to verify if you're still being blocked.

Good Morning, I downloaded all the files and installed with Tequila but cannot launch the game, it says I can only launch with the NCSoft launcher but that was not installed.  Has anyone seen this?

I'm pretty sure that at this point Tequila is no longer functionally supported. The second step in the guide references the official page that has a link to the actual file to download. I left this intentionally so that it'll always point to that and if they change the URL, then I won't have to be 'in the know' about it.
