Yea I guess I just felt guilty since my realization that I didnt really want to be evil then I reflected on that a bit too much in unison with the influence drop that nice evil man gave me...sorry if i rubbed any villains the wrong way. My intent isn't to say COV or the style is wrong. I know it is well done and all and i hear the storyline over there is quality stuff. Please keep robbing and pillaging because blue side would be out of a job without you! And I'll definitely pay it forward in low lvl zones in the future! 😄

Last night I started a patron arc on COV. I haven't played COV since live or ever done the patron arc.. someone red side spotted me and asked if I wanted to do some kind of speed sf that i knew nothing about. I told them i wasnt interested and we started chatting about how I don't really play cov/ just doing patron arc for the first time, but maybe i should more. He was super nice and told me I should and sent me an email with 999,999,999 influence with a message saying "hope this helps". We didnt talk that long tho. A few mishes later i realized why i stopped playing cov.. It's just a bit too dreary for me and I've never cared for the design and layout of the archanos characters/maps/mishes.. I remember now when COV came out thinking- why are we not working out of a floating volcano under the ocean surrounded by robot sharks waxing our evil handlebar mustaches with idiot henchmen for crying out loud??!? I guess I had some outlandish expectations..anyway, all that aside, having no real intention of continuing playing once my patron arc is over I feel like I should send this influence back. I've never had that much influence.. is it weird to keep it?.. is it weirder to send it back? Is it not that much for some people?

Just hang out in the AE building. If it isn't "real" then no harm is done.

I'm hoping you get more responses.. I have just recently hit 50 with my wm/regen and have found it a lot of fun to play and the most challenging to build of all my toons. and any knowledge on regen I enjoy reading...but considering no one has said anything yet I'll add this link @Nemu has some great input in there which has helped me out a lot. Sorry if you have already read it or the info there isnt anything new for you but it really opened up possibilities for me with that powerset.

I havent used mids at all so im just looking at this off the top of my head..and maybe you already plan to but super jump can take a winters gift - slow resistance 20%. Slows are one of the things that can drive you bananas with regen.

This makes a lot of sense. Ill try focusing on my goals. since i bounce around a bit and I will be relying on the bonuses a lot I assume attuning with exceptions like you mention will be my best bet. I dont know why I wasnt thinking about it this way..Thanks!

I have a regen/wm brute around lvl 30 that i have been messing with and plan to soft cap def, and focus on recharge/ slow resistance. I generally kit out with boosters at end game. However i do exemp down about a fourth of the time im playing.. (i like to run door mishes and exemp when i cant find a high lvl team) doesnt bother me too much losing bonuses normally but im curious is a regen unplayable when i respec and exemp after relying so so much on set bonuses?.. How do others do it with regen and what do you suggest? I do like squeezing out every last bit of an enhancement possible but dont want to cut my own throat a quarter of my playing time.

Ah!.. I never knew that thank you both!! Its too bad it would be a great slot to put a random unique weird enhancement of some kind. 😄

I use acrobatics as hold protection on my blaster. I was looking and noticed it has "knockback" listed as an allowable enhancement. I went to slot a forcefeedback io and it wouldnt allow me to.. I figured maybe i need a resistance io?... i mean its a knockback resistance power, not knockback.. When i tried to slot an aegis psionic resist io it wouldnt let me do that either.. so im wondering what is allowable that is a "knockback" enhancement? Am i missing something?

Not sure what happened but since the servers went down earlier this week -when i click on island rum it just opens a blank black screen. I think it was running updates when the servers went kaput. Im running mac osx high sierra 10.13.xx. Admittedly i am not the most computer savvy person in the world but things were running fine up until this point. I re-downloaded island rum and put the old one aside— the new one did the same thing. I uninstalled/reinstalled home brew but then had some errors when trying to uninstall wine.. im not sure the proper way to uninstall wine.. or anything else and while there are many guides online im either too computer illiterate or have uninstalled/reinstalled so much junk at this point that I am just kind of lost and not sure where to re-restart. Am I beyond help?

So I assume the servers are currently up as their status says.. however, I have had a black screen when opening Island Rum on my mac since they went down. running OSX 10.13.6 Time to reinstall?

Don't know if I should wipe and reinstall or wait it out but I am having the same issue.

I hadn't realized that homebrew said it is not supported by my old operating system 10.11.xx. It was having trouble installing wine as well. so I updated to High Sierra 10.13.6 after realizing that all of my apps will still work in this newer (old) OS. Deleted all my old COH files uninstalled homebrew from their FAQ, reinstalled and started from scratch from Dredds guide . This time Everything went through with no hang-ups and i downloaded the files and I am able to log-in and play. I'm lagging A LOT but lowering the graphics quality has helped. I am assuming others (if anyone) that was still using 10.11.xx will not be able to successfully log either. I'm not as computer savvy as all the others in here so I am a bit confused and more than likely in over my head with this stuff. I want to thank everyone who helped me get this far with your guides and info. Before I was able to click on a COH app but now I am going directly to the Island Rum app and there is a COH folder instead of the app. The only other difference is the Safe Modes are greyed out - All that being said I'm on an 8 year old laptop 😉 and able to play! 😄

I've tried several attempts at installing the update when coh would not load when clicking on island rum a popup: “Wine Not Detected!” appears. When i click: i get an infinite spinning wheel and I force quit clicking manifest does nothing. Not sure if it should.. I installed home-brew and tried to install wine with that and it said wine installed but was not linked or something?.. after playing with the path button it says it is installing wine for mac but no progress showed up and said: Unauthorized access… ect and abruptly quit clicked some more junk with the path button. because thats the kind of forward thinking gets stuff done - Random clicking! 😄and a ton (182) files downloaded… no idea. They are still downloading atm. I'm assuming this wont work either and thats fine. I think I'll try starting over from scratch this weekend and if that doesnt work again I'm going to have to accept that I am too old and stupid for computers and I'm going out to buy a watch calculator and a fanny pack. running a macbook with OSX El Captain 10.11.6
