  1. Why, exactly do you enjoy grinding for blank, though? If it's a point of meeting another's challenge, those of you who would like challenges to overcome can set challenges for each other. "The first person to do X gets a purple recipe." I bet the devs could come up with some challenges like that and set them up with the WST maybe?
  2. See? I did it again! But yeah, I think the best solution would still be rewards that facilitate more grind, like more missions to run or giant monsters to fight?
  3. Ah I was making assumptions and not keeping track of usernames, my bad.
  4. I am personally against requiring one kind of gaming to facilitate another kind of gameplay. If grinding rewards were things that encouraged more grinding, like more mission content. Similar to games with hard bosses often rewarding you with more hard bosses to play against.
  5. Alright, then what other content could be made grindable without costumers being forced to grind? Cause that is what I personally care about. I like having as many costume options available to me so I don't have to do something I don't like to do something I love.
  6. If people just like the grind, then a badge should be sufficient.
  7. What exactly is your way of playing? From the sound of it you want a hat for completing a challenge so you're one of the 1% that own that hat. That sounds like it could be achieved better as a badge without limiting costumers' options.
  8. It sounds like the goal is to have something to distinguish the challenge completing players from people who don't complete challenges. Sounds like a job for badges to me. You complete X challenge you get a witty badge title that marks you as successful without limiting costume options behind unfun challenges.
  9. One of the concerns seems to be that two resist powers allows for saving one enhancement slot for using the +3% defense IOs. I know every slot counts in high performance builds, but it's a bit strict for my taste. Still keeping it to only one resist power and keeping Tough to tier 2 would avoid the major complaints.
  10. It scales in the sense that the enemies are level 50 if the team is. It doesn't get better AI or grant the mobs extra abilities, however, because the same enemies are fought at level 35 as at 50. The purpose of Incarnate, besides my previously stated personal opinion, is to give you something to work for once you hit max level. It's Plus Ultra mode, it needs to feel appreciably stronger than just being level fifty. If level fifty content got stronger with you at that point, it wouldn't be level fifty content, it'd be Incarnate content.
  11. I think it's less that Weave softcaps you as much as it's one part of the whole needed to get you there, and it's vital for many builds. 3% defense doesn't sound like a lot, but I see people pointing out that every bit of defense (and resist) you get makes every bit more you get more valuable. Going from 0 defense to 3 cuts incoming damage by six percent or so. Going from 42% to 45% essentially cuts incoming damage by half.
  12. Having things scale up to Incarnate outside Incarnate content defeats the purpose of Incarnate, which, to me, is making your character feel like they've ascended to another power level. Everything that used to challenge them feels easier while having a larger, more dangerous threat to face elsewhere. And the ITF does scale up to fifty, but it still has to be balanced to accommodate a team of level 35.
  13. To be fair he was designed to be a challenge to a level 35 team equipped with SOs, in i12, six issues before Incarnate.
  14. Claiming people are faking their videos is pretty audacious. It shouldn't be done lightly. On the topic at hand, I agree with everyone saying blaster secondaries are fine. I made a fire blaster last night, which was also my first character and main years ago. He's awesome fun and aim+BU into Blaze+Fire Sword instantly deletes minions, good for problematic mooks. Will be easier with Blazing Bolt later I'm sure, but more than functional.
  15. I think splitting into an offensive and defensive pool could be neat. If the issue is in offering another resist power, maybe the first tier powers could instead be an auto power that buffs max hp and the free break free idea (15 second duration on a two minute cool down?). For the offensive pool, I'd love to see it customizable to be either unarmed or with a weapon. I have a rad/pain corruptor who would love to smack things with a mace.
