I'm working on a Willpower Tank right now, a weird labor of love ive been trying to complete since Live. I have been stacking every possible, available +regen boost from IO sets, regen at the cost of all things. The tank I did this with in Live was pretty obnoxious in the arena, very hard to kill, long fights. I think I want to do something similar with a sentinel. If I were going to do this with full passive regeneration in mind I'd go Willpower again, my attack would have to be rad, being able to 2 slot analyze weakness for 10% regen in every attack is nice. But if I were to ease off a little and just pick the best attack power for PvP, I'm not sure which way I'd go. I like the idea of Dark because, as a total passive regen build, making my enemies miss gives me more ticks between hits. So it's really between rad and dark. Make me harder to hit or make them easier to hit, tough call.

I'm only 2-3 slotting Numinas. This toon is an experimental tank. I'm stacking as much passive regen and Bonus HP as I can.
-
The Numinas Convalescence IO set, One enhancement says it gives a regen/refresh boost for 120 seconds. Is that only if its slotted into a trigger power, like an attack, or will it still go off if I slot it into an auto power like "Health" Will it trigger regularly if I put it into a toggle?

Are Sentinels a good pick for PvP combat? I want to make a good character for the Arena. Sentinels are a blast in PvE, how do they do in real combat?
-
No, I was looking for the fastest animation time as well as recharge. I wanted to try to find the fastest power and make it as fast as the animation time. pew pew pew

I'm just curious about what would happen if I used IO sets and my secondary to increase the attack speed and just boost the rate of fire and accuracy of my T1. The Psionic dart or buckshot would be cool, just to chain fire it.

My original super regen was a SS/Wpr back in live. I was 1 Numinas set away from completing the build when the world died. I can't remember the regen amount any more, but I know it was enough to piss off the arena. When I got back I did some numbers and think I can squeeze a bit more regen with Rad Melee than SS, plus it fills the damage aura hole that Wpr has. This is now my pure regen project, just wanna see what the highest HP per second regen can be, passive, no powers active. If I did Rad/Drk, that would give 2 damage auras, a boatload of resistance, and I could slot it out for a few hundred % regen so that I'd never have to be healed. I think this will be my next project.

Of all the ranged attacks which has the quickest activation and animation?
-
I like the look of Psi Melee, Psylocke would be proud. But I'm iffy on it because of the Psi dmg versus mechanical enemies. Anyone have a High lvl Psi Melee they can speak on?
-
You got me thinking about dark, and I'm trying to figure out a good melee for it now. How do you feel about Psionic Melee?
-
Yeah, I wasn't looking for any defense, this guy will be pure soak. Resist/Regen combo for immortality. My Rad/Wpr it the Pure regen, minimal Defense Minimal resistance, ridiculous regen experimental thing. But for realistic Team Play I wanted to go more resist focused while still building a couple hundred % regen on IOs. Dark could work well with that kind of slotting for mitigating the cost of Oppressive Gloom.

Cool, I could have some fun with Dark as a regen build. I'mt trying to build the most regenerative character possible. I'm working on a Farming build that will allow me to pull everything on the board, turn on my damage aura, and go get lunch.

I'm working on a /wpr right now. I'm overslotting it for regen, trying to see how much damage I could meat soak and regen and still live. I was thinking about finding something that went hard on resistance and slotting it for pure regen. I take less damage and passively heal it immediately. So that In PvP, you gotta One shot me or you can't kill me(I hope). I was also thinking of doing something similar with a Sentinel, depending on what the most soaky armor is. I'm not a fan of Stone Armor, it's one of the few sets I have a hard time playing because the Graphic just looks so wonky to me. Is there a strong runner up?
-
What Tanker Primary has the most potential resistance? From what I understand, Invulnerability is the cats pajamas of Defense sets. What's the King D Mega Big Cheese of the resistance sets?
-
I'm playing a Rad/Wpr. Between Punch Voke, My Wpr Taunt aura, and contaminated ground, do I really need to take the Taunt power?
-
I'm building a WPR/RAD Tanker Heightened Senses just became available but I'm not exactly sure what constitutes environmental damage. I'm thinking of skipping it. What are your thoughts? As for Strength of Will, For the build I'm working on, It doesn't seem like it would be useful often enough to use up a top tier slot for. Am I wrong?

Quite some time ago, someone on this forum suggested a character that, from 4th level on, had only Pool Powers. I kinda want to try to get one to 50, just for lols. The question is what archetype/3 starter powers to go with. I was considering something with Willpower and Melee because of the pool combat possibilities. Where would you start with this?

I've been trying to decide what I want to pair radiation affinity to.

I'm scrolling through the MM posts looking for some info on Beast. I'me not seeing much love for Beast, is it that bad?

I like to experiment with Passive regen builds. Willpower is my go to defense but I've long been on the hunt for an attack power that complemented it well. I've been playing a rad melee and between potential IO regen% slots, and a damage aura to fill in some of the taunt gap, I believe it requires further experimentaion. I'm trying to make the ultimate "Get a soda while everything dies" kind of character. I don't have to kill quickly, I just need to live longer than my foes. Anyone have a build I could examine? I'll be slotting for Passive regeneration first and foremost, then Defense and Resistance. Damage is an afterthought for this build.

I wouldn't mind it so much if maybe it were smaller. It's ok the first time or two it pops up, but after the 30th time in as many minutes it starts to feel like the game is just yelling at me. Me: Cool, lets drop some Skulls! (Proceeds to jump into the pile) SALVAGE FOUND! Me: cool. SALVAGE FOUND! RECIPE FOUND! Me: ok INSPIRATION FOUND! SALVAGE FOUND! SALVAGE FOUND! Me: Dude, enough, ok, I know I'm FInding stuff, I'll sort it out later when I'm not getting curb stomped. RECIPE FOUND! SALVAGE FOUND! SALVAGE FOUND! RECIPE FOUND! Me: STOP YELLING AT ME!!!!!

Tis a sad. Oh well, maybe something to consider in a far future update?

Prompts was a bad choice of words, but the only thing i could think of at the time, lol. When you're in battle and you kill a Mob that drops something, there is a message that flashes bright across the screen. "Recipe Found!" or "Invention Salvage Found!" I'd like to be able to turn those messages off if possible. For me they're unnecessary screen clutter.
-
I was wondering if it were within the ability of the Programmers to add another setting in the options. I think there is a setting that lets you turn off the "Storage Full" prompt that comes up on the screen. I don't mind the prompts that tell me that my Sotrage/Inspiratins are full. What I would like it a setting to turn off the "Found" prompts. "Inventions Salvage Found" "Recipe Found" those prompts are repetitive and kind of annoying when farming a lot. I appreciate that the system wants to tell me every time I find anything at all, "Loose Pocket Lint Found!" but I really only need to know when I'm out of space. Keep the "Full" notifications, let me turn off all the "Found" notifications. Of course, if this option already exists and I've just missed it, please point me to the right place and disregard this message.
