  1. I've spent the last couple days building different MM's on the test for several hours!  Thanks to that new Macro!!! <3. I was able to make a lot of toons really fast. Super helpful!

    Not a lot to report, here is what's stopping me from making one on live:

     

    I still find it frustrating when your pets die in battle and you still have to spend 5/10 seconds resuming/buffing them in long animations. -
    You have to pick every pet/upgrade for each MM to consider even doing some kind of dmg. The MM builds seem like they all are really tight. I really tried to make a good build with 1 pet and try to focus on my secondary a little bit more but you do no dmg without your pets. Also having/wanting  to set up 10 binds to keep your pets in check and keeping  your pets alive and buffed all at the same time is not worth the stress when you can play another class with not as nearly as much stress. 
    -I am new to the class. So it might be something I need to adapt to. This is coming from someone that has never played the class tell this Beta. Still learning the play style. My option will definitely change! I'm gonna keep testing and learning the class.

     


    I look forward to testing more MM builds in future updates! The buffs they got are awesome. Taking the right steps!

  2. I like the new group fly for MMs on the beta right now. After testing it I figured I'd be in the sky more often now.  Things that I'd think that would add onto the buffs that were given to the MM.
     

    • Let you summon/upgrade your pets in the air while you have Group Fly toggled on
    • Combine the two upgrade powers into one and maybe give the MM a new cool power that fits its theme
    • Change how Supremacy works a little. If you don't have any pets summoned. Supremacy becomes a click power and summons all your pets with all the buffs. Give it a 10 min cool down or something. But while you have at least 1 pet out its goes back to an Auto power.

    (On Beta, Super Jump has been updated to include a free power via optional popup tray called Double Jump, in the same way as Translocation is for Mystic Flight, that acts identical to Jump Pack)

    But I want it for hover =P I like the fly increase. Its fun to have a small burst of speed in missions to the next mob. My way of not getting a travel power. Just on those builds that are super tight. I'm super excited with the new changes! Definitely going to pick them up on builds I can fit them into.

  4. Thank you for the warnings! I rarely play -50 content unless it’s for accolades and that’s just one time through. This will be powered lvl’d. I mainly just do ITF’s these days. I feel that’s the most fun content to get a team of 8 in. My main is a poison defender. Trying to see if poison can be just as fun on a MM. so I think I’m going to stay with poison and keep hoping for future buffs.

  5. With the small buffs to MM's I wanted to start giving them a try. I feel they are in a little bit of a better spot for me to play. Ay suggestion about the play style/build would be awesome!! Looking make my first MM. Poison is my favorite set in the game. And I want an aggressive MM. So im giving this play style a try.

    I wont roll this build out tell the update goes live. Or if im not lazy ill build it on beta and try.


    I will be using the new friendly TP a lot. I think it'll be a good combo to fly over with stealth and while my beast have Power Boosted FP

    This will be my AoE chain while my best have Power Boosted FP on:  Hover above boss > Friendly TP Beast  > Noxious Gas > Fold space > Poison Trap (Combat tp to ground level) > (hover back up) then my debuff chain. 

    Will the power boost effect the strength of Noxious gas for its duration since its not a toggle? -tohit and -def will be stronger I think?

     

    Hasten doesn't make a big enough of an impact on my recharge for me to pick it. only shaves 10 seconds off of Noxious gas. and Fortify pack has a 3 second downtime without hasten. 

    **Things I wish to change on Poison MM** - not a lot but that's what I want 😃
    -Alkaloid to have splash heals 
    -Better recharge for Noxious Gas

    I think the +Perception and out of combat DEF. would be great to the new stealth travel power! I would be able to skip tactics if I wanted to. It would open up more build options. I could skip the leadership pool.

    This nerf troubles me a little. With sets like poison, they don’t have a lot of resources for aggressive play styles. They already have to fill in holes that poison doesn’t offer. No self heal, no end buff. Powers like RoP really helps to fill in giant gaps in builds and it lets you be more creative on your slotting. For example: RoP gives the defender a little extra time to juggle there health to get there heal procs to fire off while taking just a little less damage.
     

    Not to offend the devs! They are amazing! But this nerf seems like it’s a nerf to creativity. Really the amount of freedom  this one power gives you really helps.

    I did make a few changes to my final P2W build. This build is pretty much perma hover for the DEF.  However, with the next update I might change a few things around and pick up fly with hover for a more consistent speed. I'd drop assault for fly if I did change anything. 

     

    With the animation reduced on hail of bullets I'm thinking of adding empty clips to my AOE chain.  "Combat TP to the Boss in the group > Distortion Field > Fold Space> Slowed response > Soul Drain > Bullet Rain > Hail of bullets > Empty Clips > Bullet Rain > Empty Clips.  Bullet Rain will be recharging still with the shorten animation of Hail of bullets with this next update. I haven't tested this on beta yet since life has been a little busy.  That chain clears a mob for the most part. Then I like to start my next chain with Suppressive Fire to try to get the build up to proc for my ST chain on the boss that's left standing. 

    I've been going back and forth with the proc dmg vs debuff procs in empty clips.  And If I hover just above the boss out of Melee range my risk of taking more dmg goes down sooo much. Going in for soul drain and letting off your AOES you should be just fine. You'll also have Time's Juncture for the -tohit to help you out if they do land a -def on you while you use soul drain.

    I wanted to say once you get good with combat tp you'll be able to line up cone attacks with Empty clips much efficient. 

    These macros will help you speed things up in combat.

    A good macro for Distortion Field  /macro_image "TimeManipulation_DistortionField" "Distortion Field" "powexec_location target distortion field"  you have one less click and you can keep you attention on your Aoe Chain more freely then having to point and click.

    A good macro for Combat TP 

    /macroimage combat_teleport "Combat Teleport" "powexeclocation target combat teleport"

    As you can see I only have 1, +3% global Def. You can definitly get so much more DEF out of this build. So much room to tweak things around. I just went for a major proc monster build.

    I really hate being forced to change all my current slots so that we can be forced to slot the way the developers want. This is literally the same as them thinking that 1 slot of each type of enhancements is the way people should play. So this increasing numbers is literally so they can force people to respec to get their equivalent effectiveness.

     

    I don’t even take a travel power on live and I get to missions just fine. I don’t understand why the speed Increase makes you so mad. It allows people to build how they want. Have you tested it? Maybe a break to reflect on the changes will be good.

  11. I’d go with Time and dark mastery. It molds to every Attack you want to go with. It has everything you’ll ever need. Time is such an OP set. It’s perfect if you want to solo. Just run Farsight with the right side of Clarion. Get that Power boost.
     

    ff you’re  worried about -def Debuffs just run hover. You’ll get hit a lot less. And the -tohit toggle will be nice to have when you go in for soul drains. With that set up you’ll be able to handle 54x8 with No problem.  Oh yeah soul drain last 30 seconds and you can make it just about perma. 

  12. I think opening it to 5 should be the max if this does happen, since a lot of people take hasten and RoP. And I prefer an extra pool power over grandfathering  hasten into a inherent power. (off topic sry). 
     

    I solo play a lot with randomes. I prefer not to join a team with players that take 6 or 7 different pool powers. Means I have to work harder to kill things.  
     

  13. I would love to have Soul Noir be an option for Dark Embrace under Soul Mastery in the costume power options. I just love the look of it.  And I play Dark Mastery/Soul Mastery on every toon. I'm a little sad inside when its not an option for when I have to move from Dark Mastery.

  14. This is definitely an advanced build/playstyle! Proc Monster build

    Things to know:

     

    You need to learn how to manage your end and keep an eye on it or just run recovery serum. Mids end recovery stats are buggy for me was giving me wrong numbers. The end recovery is not that high. 


    This will be my last Time/DP build I post =). How exciting! I've spent to much time on it. I wanted to milk everything out of this build. I run all 3 of the P2W buffs with all my defense enhancements at +5 and one of the membranes at +3. Cyto's cost to much. 

    I always run Clarion(power boost one) and Farsight together to get over 45+ def. I sit at 45.08 without hover. So if you wanna run beast run you can.


    I use jet pack to fly to the next mob in missions. 13 seconds cool down and it caps hover speed. I just click it off to let it recharge in battler.  One way to keep up with your soul drain and ahead of the kins. 

    Most people get the AoE's so I won't go there. But has such nice AOE dmg!

    ST rotation: Empty Clips (My ST debuffer)  > Suppressive Fire > Executioner's Shot > Piercing Rounds. Feels and looks awesome.
    Took me awhile to get a good ST rotation down. Each attack has good dmg and has great proc dmg as well.

  15. Thanks for the tips! I went ahead and added the slow and changed around my slotting a touch. I'm loving this new set up so much! Thank you for your help. Really helped me fix a few things! Gonna stick with clarion+farsight on cool down. I just love the freedom it give me in slotting.
