Yeah it's a weird looking enemy, for sure:

I love the Shadow Shards and the enemies. It's terribly underused though. I've taken new players on Kora fruit runs a few times and it always blows their minds

I saw this posted once before, but i can't remember where ???

If you click powers then combat attributes, then the top option you'll see influence at the bottom. Right click it and click monitor and it will make a little window with your influence in it

You can drag the little box wherever you want on your screen. You can monitor several things and they will all show in the same box. I usually have my level shift and defence and resistance in there

  3. Welcome to the original team!! Without you we would be nothing 🙂

As for anything else I'm not sure how they are associated with Homecoming. I know some of them have player accounts and enjoy the fun like the rest of us, but I would ask if you do accidentally find out who their player accounts are to not bug them if they haven't revealed themselves. Everyone is entitled to privacy and anonymity if they want it. Obviously if they are in game with their associated characters and a big sign saying "Original Dev" over their head then say hi, but try not to overwhelm them. We don't want to scare them off. Devs are skittish creatures 🙂

  4. The problem is the city reconstruction was put out to tender and the Circle of Thorns won the bid. It's why the doors often lead to wildly different places even though you just came out of it, and when you go into the office it's got a totally different floor plan to the last time you went in. Everything makes sense when you see in six dimensions and are off your face on mystical incense, but it's confusing for the rest of us. The lifts (elevators) are actually connected, but unless you can move freely in the sideways dimensions you can only go up or down one floor and have to find the next one to go further. Technically they are all one lift. But only if you are a thousand year old reincarnated mage.

  5. Another thread on this topic? It's like playing whack-a-mole.

At some point, eventually, in the fullness of time, when the stars align and the Elder Gods rise from their slumber, then the name release will happen. As with anything this important we want to make sure we get it right and it works properly from day 1 so we don't find a cascade error on the database and everyone suddenly logs in to find their entire character screen filled with Generic<number> instead of their awesome and well thought out names. While that would solve a lot of the naming issues and save me a lot of time genericing all the naughty names, it's not the kind of thing that we want to have happen. I'm not really THAT busy 🙂

The way it will work is nobody will lose their name unless the time limit passes and someone else tries to use it. So if you have a level 1 called "Awesome Fairy" and someone else wants the name "Awesome Fairy" then if it's past the time limit for a level 1 (which I want to say is 30 days but I may be wrong and numbers are subject to change) then that name will be given to the new player and the original "Awesome Fairy" will be given a generic number. If nobody wants "Awesome Fairy" the name will remain with the original player until they log it in. The system won't automatically wipe the name after the time limit, it will just stop it being reserved and locked so someone else can use it if they wish. The time limit will increase in level ranges, and level 50's will always be exempt.

    Clear as mud? Good 🙂

I think the elevators in Paragon City are so funny.  No matter how tall the building is, each elevator only goes up one floor. Then you have to run to a separate elevator on the same floor to go up to the next level. Someone should call Ottis. 🤣

I also find it funny that despite the building being on fire you can still use the lifts. I don't know how it works in America but in the UK if the buildings on fire the lifts ground themselves with the doors open so everyone has to use the stairs.

    They call them "brassieres" there.

Not over the shoulder boulder holders?  (Thanks Bette Midler for that one 😛

  8. I got some 50's slots open and played them till vet 12 when I had enough emp merits to T3 all the slots, then levelled up a few alts that had lingered in the lower levels for months and got their slots open and vet 12, then created a dozen or so new alts and got all their slots open and a few vet levels on them. So far I've slotted a couple of them, but it's carnage on my character select screen and I have deleted a handful after stripping them of anything useful as I found they weren't much fun when I played them on the mapserver. Sometimes you get a feel for a character that it's going to be fun, other times you feel it's going to be a slog. My favourite, which surprised me, is an arsenal dominator. I tried it on beta before it went live and wasn't impressed, but it's got kind of reasonable damage and some spectacular holds. It's a lot of fun if I'm honest. There's a bit more strategy to it than I expected and I'm glad I gave it a go.

    POTATO CHIPS! Not Crisps!

... and a boot is footwear and not the trunk of a car.

What side of the pond are you on?!

See, this is why Lays aren't sold in the UK. If the bag says chips I expect chips not crisps

Well, let's establish some context here.  Anyone who actually tells you, "Reported" is, at the very minimum, a drama queen.

At worst, they're a total a-hole but we don't have enough evidence to establish that.

On the few occasions that I've reported people (either for racial slurs or truly vulgar profanity), I say nothing to them and file the report.

Then I block them, since it's clear they are of such a small-minded nature that they could never utter any words I would find of value.

Edit:  On a side note, I've had people tell me "Reported" after I either criticized their inappropriate behavior (but not bad enough for me to report them) or kicked them from a task force for the same type of behavior.  I don't know if they actually did report me and don't care.  At any rate, nothing ever came of it.

If everyone who said "Reported" actually reported I'd be considerably busier than I currently am

There is a lot to unpack here and I think some miscommunication.

I used the Monty Hall name over a year ago, like August of 2022.  I responding to the idea that the copyright enforcement was not a new thing.

Hate to say it, I am not a huge DnD player so, I don't get the trope you are speaking of.  I was doing an homage to game show hosts.

I did not make Money Mouse.  I know Money Mouse from Tundra Mouse.  She has a mouse theme going on.  I asked her to help me out since my time online for Monty is a little less these days.

I don't believe I am in any hot water.  I have been around enough GMs while in game, and my presence here should be proof of that.  If there IS a concern I would be happy to make adjustments.

I don't think I am doing anything wrong here.  I am paying homage to game show hosts and having fun with the players.  It's a win win.

To be fair, Haull is a different play on Hall so it's got a good chance (even if generic'd) of that being reversed. The Monty Hall dungeon was an utterly ridiculous supplement with so much treasure it was impossible to carry it all away. "I load the treasure onto the mule". How much treasure? "All of it". OK the mule is so overloaded it's completely buried and has died of suffocation......
