    still stuck

    day number 3

    bump

pop a ticket in if you are still stuck so a GM can complete it for you. Tell us the name of the character, the shard it's on and the number mission it is in your mission drop down list. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

As for this problem I have already raised it with the devs and they said it should have been fixed.  I'll raise it again though.

"Is there really a massive proc nerf just around the corner?"

    @Azari Yes.

..but not in the way you think; which may or may not be considered a "nerf" for the majority of the character base while the impact on edge cases may or may not be measurable at this time. Please check back periodically for any official updates. Players can always send in-game tells directly to GM_Bot. Repeated inquiries may provide different responses.

In game inquiries should be in the following formats:

/t GM_Bot, Is there really a massive proc nerf just around the corner?

/t GM_Bot, seriously, are Procs being nerfed?

    /t GM_Bot, just tell me.

/t GM_Bot, dude.. seriously? that sucks.

Player may need to ask several times, several ways before the beans are spilled.

You are going to take the advice of an artificial intelligence with a series of pre-programmed responses seriously?

All hail our new GM Bot overlord!! (Just in case it's listening) 😛

  3. Barring a comment from a dev, I'm unable to say yes or no. The only time I've heard this (and the conversations I've seen about a so called aprocalypse have been going on for over four years at this point) has been from players. Are the devs looking at procs? Who knows? Procs in general can be game changing, but not game breaking. If they do decide to do a run on procs the chances are it will be to look at the ones that underperform and tweak them to make them better. Our devs like consistency and things to work equally across the board. Under or over performing stuff gets looked at all the time, and any changes are generally small to bring them in line with other similar powers and power sets.

The devs have a massive list of things they want to do, and much of it is very low level priority so gets looked at if a dev has a particular interest in that area, or it's been bumped up to a priority for game breaking or balancing issues. There are older power sets and AT's that need loving far more than procs do.

When the devs make changes there is a whole process before it even goes live. Internal testing, alpha testing, closed beta testing, open beta testing and eventually release to live. Players are involved in most of the steps and their input is invaluable. A lot of changes never get out of testing and even some on open beta have been rolled back due to player feedback. If there are proc changes you can be sure there will be plenty of warning and player feedback will be taken into consideration. It's not suddenly going to appear on live in a patch and a "there you go".

  4. Use of other peoples IP has always been forbidden. Names, bio, costumes. All not allowed. The costume creator is incredibly flexible and it's almost too easy to create a character that we look at and go "Yup". There is no animosity, sometimes there is admiration. I've seen some stunning costumes that I've truly regretted nuking. However, referencing other peoples universe, naming after a character from someone elses universe, or using the appearance will often get you reported and generic'd.

We also allow the right of appeal. If you have a good reason for the character not to be generic'd you can reply to the ticket via the forum with your reasons as to why it should stand. It's then passed to the Lead GM's who will adjudicate and make a decision. I'm the one who does the majority of the generics, and I'll happily apologise if I'm wrong. It has happened. Not very often though, and just going "Oh it's spelt differently. or is the offspring of who just happens to look identical to" isn't generally a compelling  reason.

Under the conditions I'm speaking of, nobody will have lost access to any earned powers. There were instances organizing rikti raid teams when there were NO 50's in the league and people were like "put a 50 in charge!". I would ask "OK didja bring one?" after verifying that they were on a team being run by the highest level player available.

I can be level 25 as a league leader and a 50 can be the lead of team 2+ just fine.

I've been in leagues like that and it works well. As long as you have good league leader with an understanding of the mechanics it's not a problem. I was in a league a few days ago with a level 35 leader who did exactly that. They moved people about so the lowbies were in their team.

Pretty much the only (real, versus imagined) reason to give the star to a 50 would be Incarnate powers - and *possibly* slotting, depending on what they've done to their sets.

(Edit - and actually *having* all their powers. I know I'll occasionally be thrown if II'm so used to having some power available, hop into a crowd and  "... crap, I'm exemped down past that power ow ow ow ow ow.")

Some powers are quite important and helpful. I find Ageless invaluable on some toggle heavy builds. When constantly attacking I'm often slowly losing endurance as the rate I gain endurance is slightly less than the rate I use it 🙂

  7. From my point of view it's desirable to have a 50 as team lead in a league as that way you can just move people about without worrying a 50 will suddenly lose levels. It's really annoying when your pets suddenly despawn, especially if they have a long cool down. As a 50 mastermind having all my pets suddenly die because I've dropped in level stops me from contributing until I've resummoned them, and if it's low enough the higher tier pets or upgrades grey out. XP and inf wise it doesn't make a difference, and the scaling damage means I'm still doing my bit, but losing access to incarnate abilities or higher level powers can make a real impact on the league.

  9. For people who are losing binds for no reason, are you using the launcher or Tequila? We don't support Tequila any more and the launcher saves bind files differently to Tequila so when you are in a zone or an instant they work fine, but with Tequila as soon as you leave the instance or rezone they set back to defaults.

  10. Here are the builds for my PB and WS. Both are post 50 builds.

Light of the World - Peacebringer (Luminous Blast - Luminous Aura)final.mbdwar bandit final.mbd

The PB is pretty simple to play, it has such a high recharge rate that light form is permanent. plus lots of KB to KD so it's not irritating the crap out of the team tank by spreading their carefully herded mobs across the landscape 🙂 I tend to mostly play as Nova, swapping to Dwarf when I'm feeling a bit vulnerable.

The WS is my main though. Teleport into the mob in dwarf and take the alpha strike,  go human and cast shadow slip, eclipse and mire and any other soul sucking powers you like as needed, dwarf, mire again, human and Quasar, then dwarf to mop up the stragglers. If you die then stygian return as long as there is at least one enemy in range. With the slotting I have it's got a nice fast recharge and is an excellent rez power.

PB's tend to be quite self sufficient as they don't need a large number of enemies round them to be powerful. WS are the opposite. The more enemies you can leech off the more powerful you become. The two mires are classed as separate powers so stack with each other. I'd say the PB holds the edge for power in a one to one confrontation, but the WS shines in teams or higher difficulty settings. That's not to say the WS is considerably weaker than a PB, I can tank an EB with my dwarf quite happily.

Like every post 50 build I couldn't tell you how much it cost. I've done endless respecs and swapped the enhancements to try to make them better. It's expensive, but no more expensive than any other AT build.

So this thing is going to take all my molecules apart at the old place and then put them back together again at the new place? Well, I'm sure it's safe....

    Ready to transfer!

There may be some slight discomfort as you are ripped apart atom by atom, then reconstituted elsewhere, but we are pretty sure, somewhat sure, have a good feeling you won't be rebuilt wrong.

  12. Would people be interested in me making a thread for those who wish to, to post their builds? I know there are builds dotted about all over the place but they slide down and get lost. I can pin the thread so it always stays at the top, plus people can post and edit if they change their build after constructive criticism from other players. There is of course no obligation to post, and rude and unpleasant replies will be removed, but for the most part I've noticed players tend to be very kind and helpful.

Wait. Is this a bug? I've always thought it was intentional.

I couldn't say if it's a bug or not. I lean towards intentional as a bug implies it should have it but it's not working. It's never had it as far as I know and certainly doesn't have it now.
