  1. Yes, I remember TANC quite well. Best wishes to you and hoping your doing well.
  2. It has been a while. I would like to enquire how this has progressed. I have not had much chance to play so, and have played on alts, had xp off etc, got got back into it properly last night.
  3. Ah some things never change eh? For either of us. Here is my current Wallpaper.
  4. Such a basic question. First time using this. If I add slots to a power, then change my mind. How do I undo the slots? Also... yes the updated version on the other thread. I don't know if there is a full updated version to download. As I simply can not get my head around how to update it with the patches.
  5. Again. This is very interesting. I was playing my level 7 MA/Will scrapper (A remake of the main MA/Regen I had from up to I7). I took Hasten at level 6, but with training enhancements only, and having to focus on attack and defence, I have no slots on it. And am having endurance issues. I have been looking on the scrapper build forums for anything including MA or Willpower, wondering to drop it altogether or take it later. I can see a respec coming as soon as able.
  6. Linus can't give up the blanket eh? Yes, I remember from the days of I4 when hardly any build did not have hasten. Actually that is what brought me to looking as MA builds again on the forums. After playing last night and loving Hasten, but having difficulty managing endurance with it. And wondering when to pop it, since I only have one slot on it, am level 7 and have only training enhancements. Certainly not perma. I have knocked 40 seconds off the recharge. Yes, I can't give it up either. So, I was reconsidering actually taking it. And dropping it, with the possibility of getting it later. I used to play between I4 and I7. And truth be told, I never really understood builds. My main was an MA/Regen (who I remade as MA/Will on a brief return 10 years or so ago and on Homecoming. My second favourite was an Emp/Psi defender. And I used to just copy guildies builds. Then do as many Hami raid as possible to replace the SOs, with HO's. Things were less complex with enhancements. I am having to learn these, while trying to remember how to play the game from a new approach (being older and more open basically). A massive thanks for posting this. I found some of your ideas more appealing to me than an actual MA/Will build thread. Although what I would get from it, likely requires I look at both. It is a very different powerset.
  7. My main is actually a very low level MA/Wilpower scrapper. So, I am putting my Ice tank on ice... see what I did there? But, thank you so much for this, and the feedback.
  8. Thanks for this. I started an Ice/Ice Tank last night.
  9. We shall see. I did see that being touched on. And thanks for the concise summary. I did not realise the thread was 30 something pages long and counting. I think I may have bit off more than I can chew here.
  10. Maybe so. But, one thing I did a lot was exemplar with teams and just regular play. I was not, nor am attracted to farming. So, for me that really is a cramp on my playstyle, time and income. It won;t affect things like just soling and turning xp off. Or I don't think so. Also that does not counter that I believe removing the inf sinks in the first place would have led to this.
  11. I was casually and slowly reading this thread with this in mind as I read. So, I am not surprised this has already been said. Although I am surprised in such clear and concise words on the 4th page or so. Maybe a statement on the accepted way of Homecoming. Allow me to put across a different view from that of a new returning player, and one who played in the early days. I have returned after I played regularly from the start of I4 to I7. I saw nerfs galore, and I was very much reminded of the Enhancement Diversification nerf and it's awful implementation. This feels very much the same to me, in that it is not the nerf itself as the implementation after such a long time. But as you point out, there are added layers here. Not only has this come in after several months, when people got used to something. But, it seems to have come from removing something that has been there since the beginning of the game, to the close. Paragon and Cryptic before them had no reason in all that time to change it. But Homecoming team, literally from day one, cut out so many inf sinks. I know Paragon reduced them over time. But, as a player I remember when we had to work hard for things that you describe. (Right back when I had to travel barefoot in the snow uphill both ways!) Costumes cost money, there were slots that had to be earned, costume items that had to be earned, and all used inf. Back then we only started having bases. Which were not free and needed upkeep. We already had inf sinks as it was. I was gobsmacked to enter this game on Homecoming servers, and see more costume lots than I had to open every few levels, and capes and auras be there from day one. All free to change before level 10? Then I hear about free bases? Now months on after the removal of inf sinks this inf earn decrease happens. I can not help but feel like the two are closely related. I believe too much was given away free. Mind you. I can only accept it is a done deal now. But, I resonate with the posts so far that talk about how this impacts new players to the server.
  12. Every time I see you post. I read them with Zap Brannigans voice.
  13. You know I returned to the game the other week after a several year absence. I asked if anyone could help me get on the top of atlas globe for the badge as I had just started as a level 2. Some of the unhelpful comments I got. Clearly no thought was put in to them at all. Like why even have the help channel on? Let alone respond? On the upside, I must say I had the opposite with an email that gave me double the inf needed for a temp travel power.
  14. Yes, put that way it does sound less desirable. I mean I could see some appeal, but to justify all that work, for a result like that. I can see how that may not be woth it.
