People who take half the contents of a grocery store into the express line. Alternatively, people who have two sets of fifteen items, because 'this is for someone else'.

I'll be on with Rocker Wraith tonight (7 central time, 8 eastern time), in Atlas Park near Ms. Liberty. I hope to see you and anyone who is interested there!
-
I think the Clockwork King had something to do with it.
-
I'll be around, just in case.
-
If you usually play on the weekends, I can log onto my random character then. I know you tend toward evenings, so perhaps I can meet you at 7 pm Central on whichever day(s) you prefer?

That would have been around 1980 in Canada, not sure about the US.

Does anyone remember when retail stores sold two comics in a transparent bag? There was often one you wanted, but the other one was always as interesting as used dishwater.

Just checking, is there an unofficial Asia server?

It's the Negative Ghost Rider Pattern. It's big in France. -
Yeah, that's why I made sure to mention if they're doing it intentionally.

Derek continued walking as mages crashed into the ground all around him. He looked not up or down, nor left or right, as these events were not of concern to him. There is likely a hero fighting Circle Of Thorn cultists above me, he thought casually before returning to his wonderings of what wacky adventures Homer might have on tv tonight.

In this case, it is not the act itself that is objectional, it is the intent. The reason that somebody is intentionally pushing around another person's character is to bother them, and that should be unacceptable.

To the Circle of Throne mages I knocked off the rooftops last night. Sorry about that. Mistakes were made. But hey, don't you spellcasters have the ability to mystically fly? Don't worry, I kept your minions company. Well, for a couple of minutes anyways. They should be joining you at the hospital shortly. Or the morgue. Whichever place you're at. Let's resolve to be more careful next time. I'll try to focus on finesse with my attacks instead of power, and you refrain from standing so close to the edge. Let's shake on it. Oh, uhm, after your bones heal, of course.

I've mean meaning to watch John Dies At The End for a while, but I never get around to it.

I'm sure there are many tales to be told about Derek and his nonchalant ways.
-
Legend has it that years ago, Lord Recluse was in the street about to administer a death blow to Statesman, and Derek brushed past him because the villain was between him and the coffee shop.

Since I started here a couple of weeks back, I've been playing solo. I'm satisfied playing that way, but wouldn't mind trying group play to see if I enjoy it. If anybody is starting new characters with the intent of starting a new group, give me a shout. I'm willing to play whatever role is needed.

I'm sure those of you who have played table top roleplaying games have interesting tales of your adventures. Wanna share? Here's one of my favourites. It was Villains & Vigilantes, an old superhero rpg in which the gimmick is you are playing yourself. In this one, the GM had adapted the Marvel Universe to the game. In one session, the biggest of the baddest showed up, ready to munch on Earth. Yep, it was Galactus. Being young and reckless (both as players and as our characters) we charged in without a second thought. Things did not go well. By the time it got to my turn in initiative, I was the only one left conscious. To make matters worse, I was just a street level hero. My only actual superpower was teleportation. I knew that this action was the only one I was going to get, so I did the only thing that came to mind. I teleported into his brain. He died instantly, of course, but Galactus was critically wounded and fled to heal himself. My character was posthumously declared one of humanity's greatest heroes, and was awarded 3 charisma points. I suppose I rolled up another character after that, but I can't remember anything else that happened.

I don't have any power suggestions. However, this makes me think of ley lines that have either become corrupted by all the negative emotions, or that have been tampered with by Circle Of Thorn working with clockwork, making mystic technology.

There must have been changes recently, because I saw a hellion actually win the tug of war. He said something like "I knew I would win" and started running. Of course, I squished him before he got too far, but I'm sure he's a legend among hellions.

So I'm patrolling Atlas Park. There seems to be no end of Hellions, zombies, and other such malcontents roaming the streets. Thanks to my improved physical structure, they are little more than a nuisance to me at this point, but the citizens don't have that advantage. Soon enough, I see some thugs trying to snatch a woman's purse. She is valiantly trying to hold onto it, but it is just a matter of time before she loses her valuables or gets hurt. I charge in and get to work. The first guy goes down with one hit, but the second one is made of sterner stuff. Regretfully, I use too much of my strength, and hurt him rather severely. As I call for paramedics, the woman runs back. Standing over his mangled form, she picks up her purse, then smiles sweetly at me. "Thank you so much!" I'm rather taken aback. I look down at the guy she is almost standing on. If you reassembled his arms and legs, make some alterations to his spine, and perhaps use a combination of duct tape and powerful glue on his face, you might be able to make him back into a semi-functional human being. I've been fused with the spirit of a dragon which had a rather questionable view of human life, and even I am rather grossed out by the mess at my feet. However, she doesn't seem to be the least bit bothered by it. I stammer out a reply. "Uhm… yeah... you're welcome." Perhaps I'm keeping a vigilant eye on the wrong people.

Tahliah, I have a similar approach. When I reach a safe point where I don't have to worry about being attacked, I just turn my character to face them, then I go read a book, play on my phone, or other such thing. I usually come back after a while to find they've departed. I think once in ten years the person has been obsessive enough to wait it out.

You ever have someone in CoH (or any other MMO) just suddenly ahow up and folliw you everywhere? They don't talk, or fight, or anything, other than sometimes getting in your way. It is a rather strange way to troll someone, I rather wonder what they get out of it.

As you may be able to tell from my profile pic, I'm a guy who likes a good horror movie (or a not so good one, or sometimes a downright terrible one). My five favourites are: 1) A Nightmare on Elm Street (84) 2) The Thing (82) 3) The Fog (80) 4) Return Of The Living Dead 5) Pumpkinhead If you like partaking of scareflicks, and are so inclined, let me know some of your favourites.

To make sure I didn't unbalance things, I rolled up a different character. I got a defender with kinetics (siphon power) and sonic attack (shriek). After struggling with a name for a while, I came up with Rocker Wraith. Thanks for setting things up, Rathulfr. Now we all just have to plan a time to get together.

If it is too powerful, I don't mind rolling again, and using that character for other things.
