  1. I did think about that, but then it came across as a melee defender. The reason I thought Cleric is because Clerics are melee stomping damage dealing moderate powered spell casters. So you're trading some of that defense for heal/end regen buffs fueled by damage; and you're trading some of your offensive power set damage for a temporary boost to the defensive heal/end regen buffs. I'm also thinking of presenting a D&D Ranger inspired Archetype. The secondary is ranged weapons: Archery, Assault Rifle, Beam Rifle, Dual Pistols. The primary is defensive with two trees: heavy and light armor. Taunt is replaced with team primary/secondary pet damage buff1 (heavy armor) and at level 41 a pet option is unlocked; or Taunt is replaced with a team to hit buff (light armor), and at level 49, two pet option are unlocked. The pet option is based on the defense. For example: Heavy Dark Armor would unlock Summon Demonlins, and Light Dark Armor would unlock Summon Demons, or Summon Prince Demon; Super Reflexes is Ninja; Radiation is Necromacer; Will Power is Beast Mastery; whatever. And an inherent boost Extra Attack would give a team damage buff of X% for Y seconds (can only stack 3 times). 1. Will not buff any pet that is not from a primary or secondary power sets such as Incarnate Pets; Temp Pet powers like the Penelope Yin (Faultline) story line reward.
  2. I was thinking if it would be possible to create a Cleric inspired Archetypes using, and slightly modifying existing powersets. The primary would be modified defensive powersets, with the secondary being melee weapon powersets, and a Divine Blessing bar (similar to Domination). It's stats would fall somewhere between Tanks and Brutes. The modification would be changing the taunt to a melee range aoe heal, or endurance regeneration, and adding to the Devine Blessing bar. The idea is an archetype with a wide range of the benefits of a defensive powerset while branching into a secondary support/melee damage role. The damage resistance of Invulnerability with minor team heals or end regen as you deal decent damage; or the adaptiveness of Bio Armor, the defenses of Super Reflexes, your Willpower for your team to survive is stronger, your Electric Armor boosts your team's endurance, your Regeneration is rooting in your deity of healing and allows you to keep your team sprits up.... But in the end, if you tank, you meet your deity quickly; you're not a Stalker, a Scrapper, or a Brute, but you're right there with them supporting them with your dogmatic beliefs. Using the Dark Armor as an example, it can become two primary powerset for heal, and endurance regeneration. Dogma V Faith is a six piece set with a Special Enhancement Bonus of Decreasing Devine Blessing's cooldown timer by 25%.
  3. Wow. This has gone on for three pages. My earning power has increased as I have jacked up my prices. As I said in other post here: I'm not suffering; I'm benefiting. My data is subjective. I do not have access to the database where I can run queries: daily cost: over a 60 day period over a 6 month period over a 12 month period weekly cost: over a 6 month period over a 12 month period over a 2 year period monthly cost: over a 6 month period over a 12 month period over a 2 year period over a 10 year (in this case lifetime) period And then look for trends to see if the average price is creeping up as I suspect it is; when the highest time of day, week, month of pricing/selling, so on and so forth (almost like I use to to this for a living). If it is, then it is what it is; if it is not, then it is what it is. Either way, I'll sleep at night as this is all an intangible universe. BTW: y'all notice the price of yellow salvage lately
  4. I may check that out sometime. Thanks for the info.
  5. They can't? Again, I'm not seeding panic. In fact they only person who keeps insisting there's a panic attitude is you. As I said and implied in the posts above, mother hen: either I am right, or I am wrong. Either way, my earning power on one toon has double this month alone. (And it's only the 11th.)
  6. It is prices. Merits didn't help on Live where prices were astronomical as others have attested to above (but I agree, depending on the set, it may not take long to earn 150 to 600 Merits). The seeded salvage cap may help with price control. We will see. Either I am correct and in a few short weeks to months, rare salvage (hence the inflation spreading to IOs' prices) will be on an astronomical path, or I'm wrong. As for the three times I managed to check, rare salvage is already floating between 600,000 to 800,000.
  7. You mention Luck Charm on Live makes me recall, and I am wrong on that point. Ta. But doesn't change my point of prices seem to be following Live. As for pooling, it did nothing to resolve it. As for Merits V AE, nah. A few minutes an hour taking out Adamastor and Scrapyard twice (three pieces of rare salvage) V earning over 1600 AE tickets. It's also not my play style as I like TFs, doing Paper so I can tear up some hero's city while robbing the bank (for the buffs really and temp powers like Summon Team), and other teaming. Edit: Thanks, I know. Edit 2: No idea what you're talking about of a third market. (Technically there are multiple markets on Live and [whatever we call this system] with Auction, AE, Merits, Incarnate, Hero Villain tokens.... Granted some would argue those are just different currencies.) As mentioned above, I started Live in 2007, played a few months after AE was introduced, and returned to Live when it went F2P which was a different sh!tsh0w as it appeared to be focused on a small RP population instead of expanding to recapturing a market share, limiting IOs use (this one is fuzzy, but I recall on my main toon at that time having an issue with the IOs I earned on sub), and other small things that made Cryptic Studios's "free to play" model annoying.
  8. o.O If you see a flat earth, then you don't believe it's round? Seriously! Others confirmed this is what happened on Live; other confirmed prices dropped during the pandemic, lock down (which is relative to the time frame I started/returned to CoX), but most of all, you didn't follow this thread even thought there were eight post before I mention 100,000. Guess you'll tell me I'm crazy because yellow salvage use to be plentiful at 1,500 just a few weeks ago where now it fluctuates between 2,500 to 5,000 with numerous spikes in the 10,000s. I'm willing to bet you were the first to unravel the MCU mysteries before they were written.
  9. I don't know. One toon that I used a lot at 50 has one set of T4 with various other T3 or lower of all the other sets. For example, on this toon, my Alpha has a T4 Musculature, T3 Agility and Cardiac, and the rest of the Alpha options are T2. And it's just a case of swapping as needed when out of battle.
  10. I didn't think of that - well, really, I didn't know players do that.
  11. Maybe I am; or maybe I am learning from the past in hopes of not repeating the mistakes. While the standard quote for Insanity was not said by Einstein, it's still true and another way to say: those who don't learn from their mistakes will repeat them. I use to have two 10@100,000 per rare salvage like Mu Vestments over a year ago, and that was redone with two 10@350,000 around the middle, end of last year, and know i have two 10@500,000 ones sitting there for almost a month not filled. I repeat, I'm not complaining because I'm suffering from the problem; I am part of the problem and will "self-regulate" as needed. Or to quote the Mask: "Somebody stop me!"
  12. Okay. Thanks for the info. I didn't think I was implying they staked, but Mystic Flight gave a natural buff to all flight speed. I am only going by the description: Mystic Flight: "Using powerful magic you are able to lift yourself from the ground and fly. While Mystic Flight is active you can use Translocation to teleport to a distant location. Mystic Flight also increases your maximum flying speed by 50% whilst it is active." This implies that it's boost Afterburner (which raises the speed cap), and Fly.
  13. Nope. It's what happened on Live. Anyone who played on Live will remember it. When I started Homecoming n late 2020 rare salvage was going for 100,000 and now it's going for 500,000. Recipes prices have jumped dramatically. I don't remove and relist unless I see an opportunity to relist at a higher price, e.g., I list an IOs at 1,000,000 and I see someone bought one at 1,500,000, I will relist for 1,500,000 or higher. It can stay there forever till it sells. I'm not complaining because I'm suffering from the problem; I am part of the problem and will "self-regulate" as needed.
  14. No. Not even close. Pooling was introduced so long ago in live (I remember it when I started in 2007), and if it was a price control, then obviously it failed - miserable; hence, unless you have the link that explains why they pooled market items, it's not related. All it seems to do is let us know what we'll pay/make/manipulate. A free market without levers to control pricing leads to rampant inflation. (In case you haven't noticed like oil prices spiking causing a chain effect on the cost of living because our countries in the west have removed so many levelers since the 1980s under the guise of less red tape, smaller government.) I use pooling to my advantage as I farm the market with IOs. Never said the sky is falling. But thanks for the info on the pooling. And I farm merits to get rare salvage (5 merits), e.g. Adamastor and Scrapyard in a few hours can get me 3 or 4 rare salvage). Other ways to get a good set and make money is SBB. I ran it on one toon 8 times one day (equal to 800 merits). Got my set and sold two for millions and got a set of Touch of Lady Grey. My point is without price control, we could hit the same ridiculous prices that exist on Live.
  15. I don't disagree. When I use non pet Primary powers, my END drains. But for the most part, I do not find this to be the case. I use my pets very offensively and usually slot them for DMG instead of PROC. I find the liability of my MMs is controlling my pets - especially in areas with multiple mobs. Even defensive settings will not stop until the pet's area of detection is cleared. (And I do like it that way.) I do find endurance drain a problem with almost every thing I build without slotting IOs that help, for example, I only slot Stamina with three END MODS (I know the third only gives a +3.x, and sometimes I think I could better slot if I reduced it to two). I also find tactics make a big difference. For example, I will sometimes build an MM based upon the original dev's concept of it being the villain's tank (Stealth (Def (all)), Rune of Protection (Res (All DMG...)) if needed, Tough and Weave (as you mentioned), Combat Jumping (+Def(All), Res(Immob)) as it works when in the air (Mystic Flight to get Run of Protection). (NOTE: I could take Provoke over Combat Jump but when teaming, it's a battle of attention with Tanks, Brutes, Scrappers, and sometimes Stalkers.) I also make sure to get my Accolades that buff END, recovery and DEF: The Atlas Medallion, Portal Jockey, Geas of the Kind Ones, and Eye of the Magus (uses when Rune of Protection is recharging). set pets to stay use buffs run or teleport into a mob (usually stealth) drop MM attack to get the attention set pets (or lead pet like Dire Wolf) to attack my target. The rest of the pets will defend the lead pet if attacked within their detection rage - or so it appears to be. As mentioned above, my problem is controlling the pets. A recall/To Me command is what I find missing. In the case of Bots/ranged pets, I will use a Stay Aggressive command and pull them to their pet's range. SIDE NOTE really relating to this post: My favorite MM at this moment is a Beast/Electrical and I do have poor END because I use Swarm and Raven a lot to Debuff for my DMG slotted pets. I SAP the enemy with Shock, Discharge, and Faraday Cage and keep my pets close and hope I have enough chain (or in line) to get a END boost from Energized Circuit. But as I am slotting powers more and more with good IOs the END problem is becoming less and less.
  16. I'm seeing the same issue of market prices rocketing out of this world. I understand it's a real free market, but for new and casual players, it creates too much of an imbalance. Y'all remember during the last few months of Live where some IOs were almost 2,000,000,000 and orange salvage was astronomically priced? On Excelsior in the past few weeks orange salvage where the daily selling price has almost doubled from the high listing of 500,000 to a 1,000,000 with the low end averaging about 600,000. And like the real world, the cascading inflation of salvage and recipes skyrocketing will make IOs 2,000,000,000. And earning (an average) of 6,000,000,000 to 10,000,000,000 for an IO set will discourage new and casual players. For example, as of this posting, these are some of the stats: Orange Salvage: 9998987 for sale; 33703 bids; last five sales are four x 550,000 and one at 1,000,000 NOTE: I get that there is a logic to pooling, but it's not relevant to the point. I'm suggesting a 90 day return policy where a listing or a bid is returned if not sold/bought after 90 days.
  17. I have selected two travel powers before, and quite a few of my toons have two travel powers. For example, I use Super Speed and Speed of Sound (suppose to boost MAX RUN SPEED by 30%), Super Jump and Mighty Leap (suppose to boost MAX JUMP SPEED by 35%), and Fly and Mystic Flight (suppose to boost MAX FLIGHT SPEED by 50% (and IP seems a little less annoying with Fly, Mystic Flight and Afterburner - supposedly). And I have tried some toons with Teleport and Mystic Flight or Teleport and Fly; but with Sorcery, it's just a stronger version of Translocation and it appears to decrease travel time; but with Flight, it doesn't seem to decrease travel time. I'm trying hard to like Teleport as a travel power, but it has so little to like. Combat Teleport with its to-hit buff is nice, and made me wonder why Translocation (which I have used in combat with a stealth power to hit a group with an alpha type AOE like Psychic Wail) doesn't have a weak slow/hold like a gravitational field was created from the teleport, or Jaunt (I used the same as Translocation) doesn't have a vortex type of effect. I also like Fold Space but outside of congested areas/mobs, it's not much use. So I got to thinking about a pop up power for Teleportation and so far I've come up with some options: Levitation Levitation is building on the basic, but very temporary hover/fly you receive after teleporting to a destination. Activated by clicking Teleport, the Levitation power will grey out if not selected within the temporary duration of the hover/fly after a successful teleport, and last for 5 minutes with a 4m59s cooldown (the cooldown acts as a basic timer for the powers duration). Levitation has a speed of two times Hover's base speed and speed is buffed by Set Bonus, temp powers, Accolades (yes, I'm aware at this time there are no Accolades that buff speed). NOTE: I think this would be more useful in combat, but sometimes, you have to move out of the way of an obstacle and the temp hover/fly is not long enough, and teleporting out of the way can lead to being too far off course. Wormhole When you click Teleport but before you click your "destination", you can click Wormhole which increases your teleport distance by two and a half times (I think that's about 750 yards) but uses 60% of your endurance. I was thinking a long cool down, but if you're on IP, KW and some other maps, dropping an INS and doing a second Wormhole makes sense, and sometimes a mission is done before the cooldown if you're doing a speedy TF. Translocation/Jaunt Travel Buff This one is not a Teleport pop up power but is another option. Translocation or Jaunt boosts MAX TELEPORT RANGE by 25% as is always active. Gravity Shield After activating any teleport power (you will need Teleport as it's a Teleport pop up power), you can click Gravity Shield which last for 60 seconds. I am thinking of something like Dispersion Bubble but with a much smaller bubble.
  18. I get where he's coming from. In live I ran to all the servers and created a toon based on my global, and I did here too when I joined; but the TTL on names going back to the pool makes it a pest to log on to each server after X days.
  19. I was gonna move on, but after reading that, I had to reply. Where do I say Recluse's Victory and Pretoria are the same? Where do I even indicate they are the same? I was replying to you saying "Multiple instances? Yes. Multiple versions? No." When multiple versions already exist, and listed examples: Recluses Victory, Praetoria. Good thing I didn't mention Portal Corp or your mind may have exploded in an even greater illogical rant on me for something I didn't say nor imply. And I'm not going to keep arguing the Theoretical Physics of a dimensional pocket in time, or Echo zones. I got that from the beginning: you don't agree. Christ. Now I remember why I stop posting on CoX live forums.
  20. Unless they are contractually obligated to maintain these zones as pristine, Homecoming can take another bold step to separate themselves from other servers with new, dramatic content that can take a course of years to release in steps. Also, prior to this, you said "Multiple instances? Yes. Multiple versions? No." However, we already have multiple version: Recluses Victory, and Pretoria. To simply dismiss something because this is canon - especially in a fictional world - leads to not getting great new content like DC's Gods and Monsters; the MCU is a complete break from what is considered Canon - for example, Peggy Carter of Captain America: The First Avenger, didn't make her first appearance till 1966 - over twenty years after the canon debut of Captain America. But I will end it here. They do, they do; they don't, they don't. Either way, I'm grateful for the opportunity to be playing City of Heroes again with a team who's maintaining it for donations.
  21. Fair. Okay. I see that. If I can go there, collect Badges and kill, then why can't I sectretly occopy it with an army? We arrive, have a constant scout watching the portal; and when safe, kill everyone in a warehouse, and start building our own portal - well, really it's a stolen pillar as one of WE is - was a Menders of Ouroboros. And as WE grows, we'll take over more warehouses, office, and seceret run the hospital with androids resembling the murdered staff. From there WE will occupy Paragon, Rouge Isles, and the parallel universe, Pretoria. For WE Are WE Who All Like The Knights of Ni.
  22. Huh? They don't know us when we start in Atlas or Mercy, or prior to Issue 21, Galaxy. So you're telling me, Homecoming can't place Shadowstar back in Galaxy with a new TF - off the top of my head - NIctus have penetrated the echo zone of Galaxy City and are working with the Hellions to capture this pocket of time to establish a base of operations out of normal time...yadda yadda yadda. Or, a series of TF to be introduced over time from a Ouro contact of Pretoria trying to invade Echo zones. The possiblites are numerous and only limited by an individual's stigma. It seems Homecoming is already taking steps to break "traditional" norms. Have you not noticed more Quantum powered "villains" on mission maps on teams without a PB or WS?
  23. I understand some of this may already be discussed in the FORUM. When a Rikti Invasion is triggered, sometimes it is triggers in a villain zone then a hero zone. (My EVENT tab is Hero, Pretorian, Villain, Event messages, Request (That's for Oklahoman's (sic) League runs.)) I have gone from Villain zone then Hero zone for Rikti Invasion - and it's great - especially if I missed a bomb team. Can we get this for Nemisis, Zombie as well? And possibly have it trigger first in an Echo and Pretoria zone? (Yes, I know, different dimension.) Can we get radio, paper missions in KW, and for any level in Echo zones? (I'd spend an hour in Galaxy leading radios.) The new TF's are great, and I've been enjoying them and new settings. Can we get a string of TF's in Echo, Ward, Pretoria...too?
  24. It's not. I have joined a few TF in progress - I've join one Posi once at the start. I've join two SBB during the first BB. I use it a lot, but very minimal sucess. I think all TF's are like that. When I first started (live) being informed once a TF starts, you can't join. (But as mentioned above, I did manage to join a Posi once after it's start.) Only the merits would need to be reworked. I've joined many teams and got limited rewards and messages NOT ON MAP LONG ENOUGH...but I think Merits would - I don't know. Maybe the problem is not enough are using it, or people running with less than 7/8, or zone - for example, I can select an SF but be on the blue side with my Rouge, or not in the start zone like Ouro or Pocket D for a SBB, BAF.... Either way, Homecoming needs to seperate itself from other Private Servers to maintain a hungry user base beyond us old school lovers of the game.
  25. I started an Ouro Flashback, and I wanted to run a team, but not wait for X amount of time recruiting. It would be nice if the TF's Select Challege Section window has option Allow Join 'In Progress', and maybe suboptions Before Mission Y of Z and Join Type (OPEN, QUERY, CLOSED). Z is the total number of missions, and Y is a selectable option of 1 to Z with a default of Z-1 unless Z=1 then Y=Z. Join Type is defaulted to QUERY. OPEN is anyone can join without querying the TF Owner; QUERY is the TF Owner can accept or deny a Join Request. (This would be in the situation of waiting on a friend or a team member is changing to a needed/desired Archetype for example); CLOSED is not to list the TF in the LFG system If the option Allow Join 'In Progress' is positive, then TF is listed on the LFG window and the Avg Wait time is 0 (or O) for Open, or 1 (or Q) for QUERY instead of a false time already listed. The sytem already handles the reward based on time on a missions.
