I've tried, believe me. They're very, very smug about it. It's incredibly common over on everlasting to just make tons of accounts and grab every name you can. For myself? If someone reaches out for a name, and I'm not using it, I'll give it to 'em and even send them the costume file.

Nah, I can verify I know at least one player who has over 3k names, self admittedly, for name collection purposes. It is a thing people do, unfortunately. These are mostly characters they have no desire to play, it's a bit like action figure collecting for them. While I can appreciate hobbies, it's a bit selfish in my opinion, so name freeing is still something we absolutely need, especially with how long the server's been running, and how many characters have been abandoned over the years.

I've been curious about how City of Heroes Homecoming (HC) feels about promotional content since the licensing by NCSoft. I remember that back in the day, making videos to support and advertise the server was not allowed. However, given the recent licensing, I wonder if their stance has changed. I have a background in marketing and understand that this sort of promotion can really help communities flourish. Does anyone know if HC is now open to these kinds of efforts? I'd love to try to breathe some new life into the community and get the word out if it's encouraged. As far as this: The problem is on everlasting there are numerous people with 4-5 accounts hoarding thousands upon thousands of names. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I've seen it myself. "Name Collecting" has become a pastime for people over on Everlasting.

I feel it. I usually just use some sort of Browser Extention to make YouTube loop XD. So far my LV playlist has over 80 songs though @w@

Yeah I'm pretty sure I don't even like a good 12% of the songs on that playlist. It's a hodgepodge of "Themes" for her, and whatever is probably on her IC Playlist lololol Something about the dark synth, and deep bass really feel epic, and more villainous than the original track.

This is one of the biggest issues. As someone who runs an IC morally bankrupt SG, we were very heavily OOCly hounded at for the sheer notion of villainy or writing characters that were anything worse than mustache twirling saturday morning cartoon characters. If the good guy always wins, it feels disengenuous, meta and just washed down bad writing. There should be a bit more nuance, and nuance requires OOC collaboration and communication. Couldn't agree more.

I completely feel this sort of time and effort. This is super incredible. It reminds me of the sort of nerd-work I do for simple projects like Skyrim Together. I spent the last entire day (hungover) packing this 225 Page (so far, I've got like three more sections to build) doc for my small Skyrim Together party, and as a long term fan and supporter of dice and TTRPG elements in general this has me Thank u Shade Ily ❤️
