I may have had a similar issue. I had bought some recipes with merits; not finding all the rare salvage needed to make them, and trying unsuccessfully to get them from AE with tickets (reported elsewhere), I had to resort to the AH. I crafted and installed them shortly before the server went down for maintenance Saturday afternoon. When I logged back on, I still had the recipes and the salvage, but the crafted enhancements were gone.

I am remaking many of my favorite characters, but with revisions. Heraclea was purely thematic in i1: an invulnerability/super strength tanker. If I were going for pure concept she probably would have been a super strength/super reflexes scrapper; that was not an option. Then ED happened and it became no longer feasible to omit Rage from the build. I never took it before: not right for the character, and instead I just four slotted damage back in the days of SOs. Concept conflicted with game mechanics. Later, after i12 enabled the combination, I made a replacement tanker named Omphale, Invulnerability/Dark Melee. I liked this combination a whole lot; and this was my go-to character for tanking Master runs. So now Heraclea is Inv/DM. The same thing happened to my controller, Grandma Gnosis. She was Ill/Emp in 2012; now she's Ill/Rad. I find it more fun playing when your targets are enemies rather than allies.

I see only uncommon salvage and no rare salvage items purchasable with AE tickets at the ticket store.

Dark Melee remains my favorite attack set for a tanker. I know, I'm a bore about this. It also covers some of Ice Armor's drawbacks like the absence of a self heal outside of Hibernate, which removes you from the board completely. It's -tohit adds defense even if your own gets debuffed. And you can recover endurance from mobs, which helps since the set's several damage toggles eat quite a bit of it; may be redundant to Energy Absorption. I have not played with all of the new secondaries so I don't know if any of them offer comparable advantages.

I am struck with a sudden craving for barbed whiskey.

You can. But if you promote them too high while on the leader, they can replace you as leader.

Air Sup is definitely the way to go, then. When I hit 50 I will spec out of Medicine and do Flight. Will probably grab Tough and Weave earlier as well. Just bought my first recipe with merits, the Steadfast Protection Res/Def button. It only cost 20. I seem to remember these things costing a lot more. Can at least pick up all my once and dones, the Performance Shifter, the Numinas, already at these prices. If the merit prices have been lowered I can probably easily do Kinetic Combats much more easily, and AirSup is a good place for them. I can also get knockdown procs in all my single targets.

I believe that the fellow on the far right is the first Citadel, whose name was originally Bastion.

Bug Report - Free respec not awarded at level 40 and 50
Heraclea replied to Zeshi's topic in General Discussion
IIRC, at one point in the game you were allowed a max of three respecs or freespecs, and could not acquire any more. If you haven't used one already, you may still be limited to three. -
Villains had less resources, fewer zones, and it was harder to pick your enemies redside. Way too much debuff flying around redside as well; Praetoria, of course, was even worse. Every mastermind I tried to level when they were exclusively redside died when I hit Sharkhead.

AE Story Missions Making a Comeback! Twoflower + More! Join Us!
Heraclea replied to zsazsas's topic in General Discussion
I did not realize that the missions I had previously published were still in fact available, just not showing up as 'my published stories'. I will probably pull the second, in my control version of Ecloga Prima, and replace it with another, probably Deth Kick Champions. It seems that the available file size has been markedly expanded on these. EDIT - BUG: I pulled the second version of Ecloga Prima, and it shows me as having only two missions published under my name, and the file has no errors: still, I cannot publish a third. On live I had the full eight slots, even if the constantly changing censor meant that most of them did not work all the time. -
What puzzles me is that the only difference between 'farming' AE missions and story based missions is that the story based ones were put together by people who took the trouble to add a little bit of text to the events in their farming mission. Seriously, that's all it takes. I played one of the highly rated farms that's on live: it was filled with interesting custom critters, pigs, ducks, and chickens. All it wants is a bit more text to become an amusing environment. Since the missions I had published on live all died, I've put in a couple old favorites. One is 'Spread My Legions', a three mission story, villain oriented, in which you must assist Romulus Augustus to conquer the Past, Present, and Future. I ran this one when I needed tickets. The other is 'Who is Kidnapping the World's Great Philosophers', a one map story in which you must liberate philosophers and defeat Ayn Rand; it was meant as an allegory about the issues surrounding Wentworth's and the loss of value of inf. Both of these could be farmed if wanted; most are made out of recolored and renamed standard mobs, with the more annoying kinds excised, and a few custom characters. Both are story oriented. Both are farmable.

Then and now, I am @Heraclea. My usual hero supergroup was ORION'S HAMMER. which I inherited from @Orion back in 2005. My villain supergroup was usually The Worshipful Company of Blackguards.

When I do my first respec I will probably drop Medicine; not getting much mileage out of it. Is the fifth attack in Leaping - Spring Attack - any good or not? Says it's a teleport that does superior PBAoE damage, so it might be like the charge in Shields. It is supposed to also do knockdown. There is of course the possibility of doing Jump kick rather than Air Superiority; it too does knockdown.

Right click on your Tequila icon and Properties > Target should lead you to where Tequila is sitting. I have had a minor issue importing costumes that contain boughten/unlocked elements. All the costume parts I am aware of are available in the editor, but can't be imported from costume files, and have to be found again and manually reselected.

AE Story Missions Making a Comeback! Twoflower + More! Join Us!
Heraclea replied to zsazsas's topic in General Discussion
I currently have 3 missions live on Torchbearer: Ecloga Prima - a custom critter showcase, entirely in Latin; Death by Snoo-Snoo - a faitrly high level tanker challenge; and The Great American Skull Fry - a lowbie oriented mission involving Skulls. Most of them are also attempts at comedy. -
I don't get this on entering, but I do get it when I leave the base editor. /Stuck hasn't failed me yet.
-
Thanks! Will give it a try next time I have a minute.
-
Apparently some base items are now 'tintable'. How is this done?
-
This was also an issue with the incarnate content.

Before AE, it was Portal Corp demon farms, Freakshow farms, Banished Pantheon farms, wolf farms. Farming has always been a part of the game. It's human nature, part of what makes a game a game: the object is to achieve certain goals, so people will find the shortest way to get there. I learned early on that TFs were almost as efficient at levelling, and made it a lot easier to IO your characters in the end. Because I ran many TFs I managed to avoid using the auction house almost completely. In the original game, inf became almost valueless. Wentworth's broke down at the most expensive items; the PvP defense IO sold for more than the inf cap.

Never took Hand Clap on SS. Never heard of that particular enhancement, had I known I might have.
