Do people have fully IO'd builds already?
Heraclea replied to HoundsTooth's topic in General Discussion
I always avoided Wentworths as a way to get anything. It was sell only; after IOs came into being, there really wasn't any floor under the value of inf other than level 50 SOs that hardly anyone bought any more. I remembe rwhen you used to get high level TOs as drops. These, I would keep in the base and use as tokens to transfer inf to lowbies by listing them at fantastic prices. Then that was made easier as well. My IOed out builds were always bought with proceeds from TFs and tip missions. I ran Architect for tickets and avoided buying salvage as well. Useless drops got sold. -
I may try and finagle a way to add AirSup into the build; miss it even if Leaping has more benefits for a tanker. My understanding is that Shadow Maul also does -tohit. Only Soul Drain (your buildup) and Dark Consumption don't. With enough recharge in Dark Consumption I may not need Conserve Power, although on teams the character at 32 is rather endbound so far. I decided against SS for Heraclea 2.0 because I disliked being dependent on Rage, which does not work for the concept.

It was earlier; there was an announcement that it had been taken offline but people were seeking volunteers tonight for farms so I suspect it's back. Unfortunately you're limited to three arcs; I had bought the whole set of slots with cash. I currently have three working right now: 'Death by Snoo-Snoo', a high level challenge for tankers; 'The Great American Skull Fry', which is a lowbie oriented story featuring Skulls; and 'Ecloga Prima', which is a single map custom critter showpiece entirely in Latin. I am very pleased to say that the censor seems to be entirely off. 'Death by Snoo-Snoo' could be published even if it contained Hercules, a public domain character censored in the live game. 'Ecloga Prima' could be published even though it uses the Latin word cum. For a while I had 'Monstrous Regiment of Lesbian Hellions' published and I will probably cycle it back, but I'm not sure it has aged all that well.

I never did much with Titan Weapons seven years ago. Just started an alt, and chose Willpower. I suspect the set is end heavy and not terribly fast. But it adds defense, which will help Willpower to keep you alive. Looks like there are many multi targeted attacks, which will ultimately help tricking it out with sets, those being somewhat less in demand.

SG colors may not be implemented currently, because prestige is not implemented. You can use the biggest plot and add all the power and control you need, add all the teleports without exploration badges, and so forth.

I think this bio armor is one of those new for i24 sets that never went live, so high level experience with it might be rather scarce. It looks similar to Willpower in many ways, but can apparently switch between offensive, defensive, and recovery modes. It also seems similar to Invulnerability, except that where Invuln gets more defense from being surrounded by mobs, this gets more resistance, which may not be quite as useful or easy to scale. Definitely would be thematic to pair it with Spines. I don't know if this set also has Willpower's weak aura penalty, but having Spines would definitely offset that penalty.

Now what would really be nice is a way to invite alts without recruiting random people or making a second account.

Nope. Didn't get on again last night but when I relogged in this morning all was well. Resetting the server seems to have fixed this.

What is your most fondest or favorite memory of COH?
Heraclea replied to Mighty Mortal's topic in General Discussion
I didn't have the presence of mind to screenshot it, but somebody accidentally dropped a bit of presumably private erotic roleplay banter into one of the global badge channels. -
Since I've gotten the character to 29 now and have a fair amount of time invested, I don't see that happening. Got into the queue again without it happening. Will see what happens if and when I try to get in game.

I am getting something similar with the message, "You have been kicked."

This is a new one. What does it mean?

The original Heraclea was Inv/SS; version 2 is Inv/Dark Melee. Dark Melee simply brings more to the table than Super Strength. If you are building to tank, having -tohit debuffs stacking with your defense is a solid plus. So is having an attack that's also a self heal. This build is also guided by memories of the inflationary economy of the official servers. I've deliberately sought out sets that were in relatively low demand. If, as seems likely, everything's going to need to be bought with TF merits and salvage with Architect tickets to fully trick out a character, there's probably no reason not to drop Kinetic Combat in all of your single target attacks. At any rate, here's the build: Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! I have vivid memories of the first time I saw DE giant monsters in Kings Row, when I was like level 7 on my first character. I did the tutorial and knew that purple meant 'you're probably not ready for this'. No sidekicking in i1 either.

Update from the Homecoming Team (April 26th): Excelsior!
Heraclea replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
Establishing a queue makes eminent sense even if it means I won't be able to play tonight. Things should at least stabilize fairly quickly. At least I can do something else while it grinds rather than try over and over again. Good job again. -
Link favorite music in this thread. One song per post, please.

I found a random level 1 character whose name I did not recognize in my login. I tried to load the character but got "Invalid character" when I did. It also said that the character had been offline for more than 7,000 days, which seemed unlikely.

Energy Transfer nerf ruined my fire/energy tanker. Fire depends on its self heal to tank. Five second animations do not help. I did not like Incarnates. When that hit live I already had 40+ level 50 characters: one of all the tanker primaries save Electric, one of every heroside AT except Kheldians, sever al brutes, a stalker, and a widow. Running that intro arc to get all of these characters ready for it was painful enough, especially when they made it impossible to pull that boss away from his healers. Incredibly tedious on a tanker. The joy of the game was that you had multiple level 50s, so if your friends wanted a rad defender you brought that one. Incarnates forced you to grind on one or two characters. Not a fan of Praetoria or the Dark Astoria revamp either. Giving the Tsoo kinetics was a very bad idea. I ran the story arc for DA exactly once, on my as unhittable as possible Dark Melee/Reflexes scrapper. Way too much debuff flying around in all of that stuff.
