  1. From the website and vids, a lot looks oddly familiar (logos, character creation screens, certain in-world buildings and objects). And it looks like a lot of love has gone into the design of some of the new bits of the city. Can't say the same about the textures, animation or UI just yet. They don't quite hold up compared to final-issue COH, let alone modern titles, but that's all fixable over time. For a purely amateur effort, it's impressive, and I'd probably give it a whirl when/if it launches.
  2. Loved it. Also love that it's stuffed with a bunch of extras, in-jokes and cameos...
  3. Following up on Techwright's spoiler... the answer is we don't know, and quite possibly neither does he. And that's great. As I've wittered about before, the MCU is by canon its' own little Universe. And D+ writers have freedom to riff on and magpie-borrow from anything they like, but the brief is to write a story that works on film/TV. Comics are different with their own beats and ranges, not to mention info sidebars, captions and breakouts that wouldn't make sense much. (Ang Lee gave it a go.) I have a feeling from a storytelling point of view they're going to drop viewers - both those who've read the books and who are completely new - in at the deep end, which works alongside Steven's own confusion at discovering his alters. Compartmentalisation is a thing in DID, and while "alters" aren't usually completely unaware of what the others do or their existence, if it's something that would emotionally or morally conflict with that alter's values, it can get safely tucked away so as not to cause distress.
  4. Still haven't watched it and trying to avoid spoiling myself online, but I heard that leitmotif at the end of Ep4, so I come pre-cheering for it.
  5. The Teskey Brothers - Hold Me
  6. Just an occasional dump box/drop thread for nerdcore funny stuff, because sweet Freya in Asgard knows we could all use a laugh. Oh, and we work clean in this club, kids. No, not the one about Riker running Slaver Queens of Orion on the holodeck, however funny you think it is. I don't even see how the trombone fit in there. From Alexrjpaterson on Twitter: last week, a Roomba escaped from a budget hotel for two days. Wonder what it got up to?
  7. Just to be clear, that pun was (c) Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis, who nicknamed themselves that on set. One of the great things about working with Brits on a Whollyodd production is that they don't take anything seriously except the work, least of all themselves. (It's also occasionally a pain in the ass). For reference: As to the movie... that's an interesting theory. Doom might just be smart and sneaky enough to get past T'Challa's defences, which could make this a revenge movie. Another theory - if you want to play Chad's death a little straighter - is that the Heart Herb may give great power, but could also wear out the body a lot faster. Heroics = sacrifice trope.
  8. Charles Perry - Ev'rybody Wants To Be A Cat ...was just playing this through, and Molls charged in purring for attention...😻
  9. Paul Williams - Surf Music
  10. The Wiggles - Elephant (Tame Impala cover)
  11. Aquabats - Pool Party
  12. Screaming Blue Messiahs - Bikini Red
  13. George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers - Ride On Josephine (Live In Boston)
  14. Dick Dale & The Del-Tones - Surfin' Drums
  15. Hayley very much up for playing Super Peg. She was working on MI:7 at the time: but both were filmed largely in the UK (MI:7 at Leavesden, MoM at Longcross, and both at assorted stand-in-for-anywhere-else locations across the country). Since both had multiple COVID shutdowns, it's quite possible for actors to shuttle from one to the other. But there were also several weeks of additional principal photography in December last year - so not reshoots, stuff that couldn't be shot previously - including two weeks "due to actor availability issues". One other slightly spoilery note I found while looking this stuff up...
  16. Re: @Techwright : maayyyybbeeee? Probably because I got interrupted in the middle of ep 3 last week, so rewatched 3 & 4 back to back yesterday. Yes, that bit did feel like...
  17. Have mentioned it before, but it seems D+ have this theme where things kick off in Episode 4.
  18. 🎼"From the day he was born... he was trouble..."🎶 Meat Loaf & Original Roxy RHS Cast - Eddie's Teddy Farewell then to the big man of rock'n'roll: singer, actor, storyteller, bon vivant... Meat Loaf - Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through ...and the sole cause of more speeding fines than any other man on the planet. Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell (Full Album Version)
  19. Mambo #5 - Lou Bega Mambo #5 (OG Version) - Perez Prado Orchestra Mambo #6 - Pez "Perez" Prado Mambo #7 - Luke Correia
  20. /em golfclap My answer:stack them in doorways, gates, corners and other choke points. Pull mobs through, either by sniping, getting your meat shield to aggro them and herding (which also helps for other kill zones). You can also teleport lower-level mobs straight onto the pile. Plus as someone else has noted, if you get an ambush alert, leave a couple on the road to you and then just wait for the gratifying sound of someone being arrested* with C4. *Well, not quite "arrest". Lless paperwork, more "paint over the top".

  22. *sigh* haven't they had enough of these grimdark, gritty reboots yet? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/entertainment-arts-60058997
  23. ...and they even dropped it at the height of the Wolf Moon. Neat. So, Marvel have adopted one of Walt Disney's earliest principles, in that kids want to laugh, cry, and have the the living **** scared out of them. It's not grimdark, it's glossyshinydark. And they've let Oscar give it the full beans. No scenery left unchewed... Notes below: So, we like? EDIT: incidentally, The Internet Being Undefeated and all that, someone's worked out where Steven's flat is. It's on Queenstown Road in Battersea. And if you take a look on Street View...
  24. I'm coming back after all these years, and there's an awful lot to remember (not least, why Captain Holtz is weirdly overpowered... ouch...) ...would it help folks to have a forum to share and store Incarnate-specific info and builds?
  25. It could use some work. The one redeeming feature of Body Armour is it doesn't take up any END, but is otherwise weak. Liking Surveillance very much. LRM could benefit from having the quickfire option applied to other Sniper attacks on offer.
