My Katana is Kat/Rad and it’s one of my favorite melee characters. The added defense from divine avalanche really helps the resistance based set and Rad is just overall great. Would definitely recommend.

I think your build is pretty decent. I made some changes that i think would make the character overall better. I didnt see a travel power, so i added one for kb points and ranged defense, Bitter Ice Blast animation is awfully long so I replaced that with choking cloud. I got ranged defense to 45% before incarnates. I'd recommend Agility for more recharge and end help. You could probably get rid of ice bolt and still have a good attack can with just 3 blasts, thats what I did on my ice/cold corr. you could squeeze some more recharge out of the build using Superior Scouraging Blast as 3 piece = 10% rech however you will probably sacrifice ranged defense. I do usually try to split that set on 2 powers for the 20% rech. As for Accuracy, I would think you should be good between radiation infection, tactics and a Kismet. I’d recommend fire/psi or plant/psi for a starter dom. Fire plays melee and drain psyche is a great power which fixes end issues

Here is the Fire/dark build I am currently running. It's a great build, solos +4x8. The only thing to point out is when the next update comes live, Soul Drain is being replaced so I will have to rework the Epic portion of this build.
